Only thing you missed, was his Olympique de Marseille season! It was the reason José Mourinho became mad fan of him, and wanted to have him in his team...It happened just few months later! He was a MONSTER at Marseille! His true favorite club where he grow up.

He doesn't score as many goals like Eto, Suarez and many others but the impact he had on big games is just nuts. He is the kind of striker you would absolutely need in the finals if you want to win a trophy.

Not a great scorer of goals, but a scorer of great goals. But also, so so SO much more than that. A creator par excellence, with exceptional vision and passing abilities. A 'defender' who led from the front, and dropped back to win the ball high up the field. Skillful and beautiful to watch on the ball, almost caught defenders off guard because of his imposing frame. A LEADER in the most difficult moments on and off the pitch. A teacher and role-model for the young kids - as a player and a man. Just a legendary, one-off player who played for the benefit of the team ALWAYS, and not for his 'stats' - King Didier will always be cherished and have a special place in my heart as a Chelsea fan 💙
