When Corey Feldman Lost His Mind: "Angelic 2 The Core" and Beyond...

Ойын-сауық

In this video I break down in excruciating detail Corey Feldman's 2016 monstrosity "Angelic 2 the Core". This album has become a thing of legend as being one of the worst albums ever made. I also detail some newer and lesser discussed events in Corey's music career.

So upon some of your suggestions I've been listening to the Bonfire videos roasting Corey Feldman to no end and it's some of the funniest shit I've heard from a podcast in a long while, had no idea these even existed when making this video.

@@4everseekingwisdom690😂 that sounds about right... I seen him last yr and only went for shts & giggles.... He blocked me long ago on Twitter when I asked why he needed a movie & a million dollars to release the full names 😂 he didn't like that. When a friend of mine messaged me to see if I wanted to go see him live bc he was coming downtown (a small city about an hour south of Boston, they used to book a lot of 80, 90s bands, but CviD forced them to sell the venue part & they barely have shows anymore unfortunately). I know he was late for the show, which in turn made him late for the after show hang out/meet & greet bc we had hung around a bit after the show to see what he'd do when he left. The tour "bus" which was a short camper basically, was parked right out front and other band members were just hanging around waiting, but Corey & the wife (she was still W the band when I seen them) hadn't come out still even 45ish min later so we left. It's just wild to me that so many people were there. It wasn't sold out, but it was Def more busy than I thought it'd be 😂

I know exactly what happened; Corey Feldman was an impressionable 11 or 12 year-old while making Friday The 13th: The Final Chapter, and witnessed Crispin Glover's bizarre dancing in that, so he was convinced that there wasn't any possibility that any dancing he might ever do on camera - no matter how outlandish - would be considered odd enough for anyone to fixate upon...and he was wrong. VERY wrong.

As a drummer, I've had too many experiences with Corey Feldman types, who think they are owed success. People who have enough skill to start working with other musicians, but no desire to grow themselves. Unfortunately, it can sometimes take time to realize this. You notice that someone is making the same mistake, at the same part of a song, in every rehearsal. That's Feldman. He has a strong desire to be known as a good singer and dancer, but he refuses to admit, to himself, that he is neither. So instead of just putting the work in, he ends up with a sound that stagnated 20 years ago, and hasn't changed at all. Vanilla Ice did the same thing. He had that one hit, then decided he wanted to be Nu Metal, as a way of shaking his neon 90s persona. He got a chance to do one of those VH1 remakes, and just stuck with his weird Nu Metal thing, 15 years after Nu Metal had died. They think they're above it all, that they're at the apex of talent, and they are OWED all that success, yet the time they put into improving their craft is exactly 0 hours over a lifetime.

I guess that I owe you a "Thank you!" for listening to this so that I didn't have to. I suppose that we can all take comfort in the fact that when Corey finally wastes the last of his millions that he made as a child actor, he won't have any more money to self-produce his "music," and it will stop polluting the Earth.

During a long lost 80s interview. The actor Sloth, hey you guys, was quoted as saying he was Corey's biological father. Sloth drunkenly stated that back in the mid 70s he lived in LA in a broken down Motel 6 enjoying the attentions of a bevy of satanic porn stars, blow, booze, and kick $ weed. Sloth then headed back to his trailer and pucked up

Go 4 it was done originally done by some Turkish Cascada type of singer. There’s a video for it that you can find on YT, and I believe snoop is in the video. It looks and sounds like Corey bought the rights to use the song, but instead of covering it, they record the exact track with the original singer singing go 4 it in the chorus and snoop’s rap, and Corey just recorded his vocals over it.

What are the four CDs on the right side of the screen? One of them looks like Moby's "Play". Funny enough my copy of Play doesn't have the Gwen Stefani vocal. "Southside" sounds wrong without her. Regarding Corey: Has anyone ever floated the idea of a vocal coach?

You are correct, Moby - Play (the first CD I ever bought), Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here, Genesis - Self-Titled, Kraftwerk - Computer World. I actually prefer southside without gwen on it, i guess that's because i was used to the moby-only version

I had no idea the guy had a "music career" until this album started making the rounds online. If I can praise one thing about the album it's that at least by being so shockingly terrible it's interesting and a fun talking point. He's a perfect example of how constantly praising someone and lavishing them with money and success at a young age leads to a massively deluded sense of self. I also want to point out how fucking embarrassing it is for a 50 year old dude to still be trying so hard to copy Michael Jackson.

I agree that the two songs "Wanna Break Free" and then "Mercy" are so damn frustrating with the whole "starts out alright and then he finds some way to totally fuck it up"; I bought this album ironically back when this tandem atrocity came out and I just said to myself that he was just trying so hard to make every track fail, even when it seemed that he would make something remotely passable against all odds. Perhaps there is some alternate timeline where everything is the same as here except he doesn't "go hard" on Break Free and doesn't inexplicably speed up Mercy; I imagine that reality is...probably just as crappy as this one! (Save for the two tracks sounding one thousandth more listenable).
