I’m an English teacher. One of my insufferable students failed the exam and his dad came to talk to me. The first thing this man said was, “My daughter’s uncle is waiting in the car to see if you’ll change my daughter’s grade or I’ll have to call him in!” imagine how afraid I was. Fortunately one of my colleagues came in at that moment and I asked her to call someone. Our caretaker who was a huge guy stepped in and stood there until the father left.

Teacher gets threatened with implied physical violence with assistance from another person by the parent of a student over a failed an exam and you think this kid is a gem in the classroom? You think parents who teach their kids that they can get away with inflicting physical violence on people who don’t do what they want, especially when what they want is wrong, are good role models that teach their kid to behave at school? Where I live, a high school teacher was nearly beaten to death by a student because she took away his tablet. A boy at the high school was body slammed into concrete by another student and is now paralyzed because the aggressor child did not stop going after the child who was injured. Parents used to teach their children to respect teachers as a part of their upbringing so that they can understand that you can’t go around just having your way in all things. I don’t what you do for a living, but until you’ve walked in a teacher’s shoes, you have no idea what they have to go through in an effort to educate. The general public is getting meaner, more aggressive, and less able to control tempers, so it’s no wonder our society’s children are emulating poor adult behavior. Things are getting ugly all over the country and you want to shame a teacher for being traumatized by the actions of a parent while they were just trying to do their job? Guess what? Sometimes children ARE insufferable little snots, but the teachers still try to educate them. Wake up, my friend. If you’re a parent, I sincerely hope that you do some soul searching. And if you don’t like that a human being is frustrated with the young person they are tasked to teach, then pull your children out and homeschool them. I guarantee you that it is not as easy as it looks.

I work in a very good school right now….but unfortunately there are some teachers/coaches that are terrible, low expectation teachers. Ugh! Homeschooling my kids would be a dream! Taking them to the places to teach about history!! Going to Gettysburg field to teach about the civil war battle, taking them to a battleship to teach about WWII navy battles!! Got school work books, signed in with the state, got me into other homeschool co-ops so I could interact with other kids like me. It was great I could work at my own pace, figure out how teach myself and manage my own time. Now I'm a duel enrolled student on the College honor roll, whose about to get both her high school diploma and an Associates in Arts, and mom is working as an online English teacher.

It seems this way because men were historically and culturally conditioned to cooperate and accept hierarchy between each other, whereas women historically had nothing to offer each other and mainly saw each other as threats. Wives vs in laws, wives versus mistresses, etc. This is why women dislike confrontation and meritocracy and want to give everyone brownie points. Men needed to have hierarchy for practical reasons in labor, war, politics. Women didn't really have that.

It amazes me how many people watch these videos and don't understand why the offender is being arrested. It usually involves someone who won't stop and communicate like a mature adult. They don't have the FACTS and they don't take the time to get the facts (just like many viewers). All they care about is how they, or someone they know, has been dissed. Slow down, rewatch the video and listen, or read....the girl was NOT intentionally spat on! The substitute teacher was dismissed because she has a yelling issue AND she has a medical condition called 'hyper-salivation " (excessive drooling, spitting while talking).

Yeah, the first case with the woman thinking her daughter had been spit on. If she had calmed down and discussed it reasonably, but no she was more interested in showing herself as raising hell, to dominate in a situation instead of clearing out the actual problem. It’s more understandable from kids, but adults should have already learned to control their behavior and emotions a hell of a lot better now.
