as a pianist who just bought a bass, I can confirm this is accurate

i’ve been playing bass normally for about a year, and i am unable to do harmonics as effortlessly as he does playing a bass on a _goddamn table_

Watching a bass get played like a guqin by a pianist is the strangest experience I’ve had in a while but i thoroughly enjoyed every second

no bullshit this is exactly how my first interaction with a bass guitar happened 17 years ago. sat it in my lap and played it kinda like a piano.

Definitely not a pro pianist but, my mom was. When I first started playing music, as far back as I can remember, I started banging around on my mom's piano, at church and in home. When I was 12, I recieved my first acoustic guitar. (In 2000-2001 -ya that old now.) But because of the experience I recieved through my mom on the keyboard, I kinda always have looked at the guitar the same way. It does have a few more octaves. And ya, E standard on a 6 string may wack things up a bit but, all in all, 7 notes with flats and sharps. Much like a piano. My son now, has taken an extreme interest in the piano. Turning 8 this Aug. He's going to be getting an Casio LK 280. If he sticks with it, then my mom's keyboard. 😉 Great job on your performance! Real original

Tapping works great but I'd prefer sitting in normal positions so i also can use other techniques easily
