Fun Fact: Wreckfest "Derby" races is actually based off a type of motorsport, that being Swedish Folk Racing, where you have to take cheap cars and you have to sell the car at the end of the season, FlatOut was also based off this form of motorsport.

I’ve been waiting for a new Destruction Derby game! It looks great! I don’t like the riding lawnmowers or couch sofas but that’s just a nitpick. I’m glad it has races, derby races, and destruction derbys! I love most of the Derby vehicles too! I’m finally going to pick this one up. Is it good arcade racing?
