there is one universe where this video is always true and bogosort is the official and fastest method for any sorting... and then one day one person is sorting files on their PC or something, and it takes 4 hours. Panic ensues as people realise there's an infinitely greater chance of this happening to everything than it all staying perfect

I think people would realize it pretty quickly. That, or it would alter history with how divine seeming it is. At some point, couldn't you ask it to sort something in such a way that you could discover fundamental truths about the universe?

90% of bogosorters stop right before the list gets sorted.

Thats why quantum bogosort exists. There must be at least 1 universe where an array is sorted so we use a ray gun and steal it from that universe

For anyone who doesn't understand this meme: Bogo sort is a computer sorting algorythm that changes everything at random, It has the chance to sort in 1 try, But most of the time it will fail. with every added number the probability is getting lower.

Bogo sort is simultaneously the best and worst sorting algorithm. It is the best because it can sort in O(n) operating time, but it likely will not and could possibly not finish sorting before the heat death of the universe.

Plenty of sorting algorithms have best case O(n). And it's not the worst, you can trivially do worse with unnecessary computation. 'Find each number in the binary digits of pi, dropping instances where they aren't in order.' Or just 'bogosort N times and then return' lol
