Driving a small vehicle it's a rule of thumb to make way for larger and faster vehicles, not rocket science. It's not uncommon for multiple bicycles or motorcycles to fill one lane, and as a cyclist one has to account for that as well

Rewatched it. Cyclist was in the wrong but only because he wasnt actuallty in the right lane at all when the biker was passing. He made valid points about how the biker isnt allowed to pass him on the right and how he can be as far to the left side of the right lane as he likes. But those arguments dont apply to him because he was actually in the left lane when biker passed.

maybe but look at how the biker took off when the light turned green to catch up to the guy on the bicycle. that was absolutely reckless. he is not a cop. biker was out of line in how he first approached the guy too. but then the guy on bike ran red light and was swerving then claims he is a vehicle too. sticky situation

Yep, as a cyclist, one of my main hates is no blinker/indicator from vehicles. And its not like turning the USS Missouri like he makes that right turn look🤦‍♂️ I pride myself on being out of the way where I can, early hand signals to cars and pedestrians. Everyone needs to be aware and leave the aggro hats at home,we all have homes to get back to. The biker shouldve read the room here. It was obvious the cyclist was going to drive to the right here. He swung a bit too far left, a touch past the line but it was still obvious. Even if the cyclist was going to drive on the left lane, he barely made it there before the biker drove past. There is no reason to drive like that by an intersection. Thats gonna get you killed one day when its not a cyclist.

Also, it's still theft the fact the old guy took his keys, plus potential assault charges on shoving him off the bike and constantly shoving him. The the insurance claim from the damage done to the bike (due to being pushed over). Finally, it is also illegal to just be standing on the road to block traffic for the sole purpose of causing a disturbance to the flow of traffic, let alone damaging property/the individual. Plus, if anything I kind of respect him for not being cocky and taking his girl on the bike. Imagine if she was on the bike when he got knocked over? Let alone, he did it purely for her safety and comfort. She's an adult, not a child. He can go for a quick spin. Nothing illegal or immoral about that (to an extent).

I am a biker and I am tired of bikers thinking that just because you are on 2 wheels others have to extra look out for you, its called share the road We gotta be careful just as much as they should, its a risk we take when we ride Our own entertainment shouldnt be a danger or inconvenience to others

The cyclist said he had to turn right which is not correct! unless that lane ends in front of him ,and you can tell it clearly did not end duh and said you can't pass on the right hand side which you can. Because the cyclist was in the left lane

@@carsonhurley2286 That makes zero sense. Turing right from the left lane in any scenario whether its a car, bike, or cyclist is just asking for an accident. If he stayed in the right lane this accident wouldn't have occurred. Also aren't cyclists supposed to use arm signals? Either way he should have been in the right lane. At least in that case he would have portrayed to other drivers on the road that he was turning right.

Lol, no kidding. I live in between 3 of the top 10 most dangerous cities in the US (two are top 5). Knock someone off their bike like that and you'll probably end up dead in a ditch or body bag. You don't try to play cop around here, even the cops don't like playing cop. Minding your own business is you're you stay alive. Out in the country they'd probably beat you senseless.

You have every right to physically take your property back! I don’t care his age or trying to take the high road, he will continue to think he can do what he wants.

There's no way I would've been able to remain so calm and ASK for my key back. It was frustrating just watching the guy on bike asking for his key back. I'd have gotten the key back before the guy took 2 steps towards his house. Granted it wouldn't have as good as an outcome for myself nor the other man but that would've been an after thought for sure.

Not wanting to speak out of my ass but that dude looked so easy to take down from the legs, would’ve taken the opportunity right then and there, granted he was as definitely looking for problems

The cyclist clearly moved from the right lane into the left lane (besides running that red light) and decided to turn right from the left lane. I'm a cyclist and that dude is why I avoid group rides. Most other cyclist obey the road laws but many do not and I never know what I'm going to get in a group ride. I ride motorcycles too 😁 Be safe out there to all!

This is what pisses me off about cyclists, they're a "vehicle" only when it's convenient. When it's not convenient , like when they want to blow through red lights or turn without signaling, then they're not. If you're a "vehicle" then obey ALL the rules of the road.

@@koenbrink the cyclist was in mide of the road if cyclist would have picked a lane and signaled he was turning would have been different story. My state even states that cyclist must stay on far right side of road/shoulder, as much as possible.

Left his girl on side of the road…. Then the level of stupid increased. If he wanted to test his bike don’t have her stand on side of the road. If he wanted to test his bike test it someplace that’s not a road. Guess the biker didn’t share the video. The guy shouldn’t have walked into the road either much less get n front of the bike like that.

In regards to SpeedSeekerMoto, I'm not sure I would have been so composed. You handled it very well and got your key back. I keep envisioning myself throat punching him and using my lid to smash out the glass on his SUV. Violence isn't the answer and I'm sure I would have gotten myself in trouble. Well played.

9:15 As a biker myself, for once I'm going to say the car was in the right in this instance. You can't block traffic and sit in the passing lane, if you're not passing then get out of the passing lane and go in the driving lane, the lane you're supposed to be in at all times

This is why I keep my fire arm with me because some people just don't like us riders even if we are being responsible and there are those situations you may be in that you really need to protect yourself.

Didn't see anything wrong with the old yellow-shirt man. He seemed concerned about the safety of the kids. Respect!

agreed 100%. . I recently started watching these biker vs. vids. & what I see the most of the time it the bikers doing the same damn thing. They put themselves in a bad situation & then get pissed off about it, overreact & self victimize. I am well into my 50's & been riding since about 14. I am the invisible man on my bike(s).

More people need to realize/accept that every individual is the first and last person responsible for his/her own safety. (If I want to see one more sunrise, it's up to me to make it happen.) The guy on the motorcycle is an impatient asshole who will probably get himself killed one day while passing on the right. The guy on the bicycle ... Sure he has a right to use the whole lane and no one should be passing him in his lane. However, If he wants to get old, he needs to learn which battles are worth fighting. For a man on a motorcycle surrounded by cars and trucks, very few battles are worth fighting. For a man on a bicycle, the only battle worth fighting might be the one with his wife about what to eat for dinner, after he gets home (and that's questionable.) Fighting a battle on the street with cars and trucks is perfectly acceptable if he's right AND if he doesn't mind being "Dead Right."

@@SteveWhiteDallas i mean the same could be said for people on bicycles too though, i realize its their right but most will literally put themselves in front of a train for the chance to bash someone and explain their "rights", maybe not allowing bicycles on public roads that can't maintain the speed limit would be a good idea again i realize there are bike lanes and stuff for that but it obviously still doesn't fix the problem, i mean if im in/on a motorcycle/car and someone is riding a bike in and out of traffic causing jams and near accidents im gonna be pretty mad myself even if it is their right, Im not sure who's bright idea it was to allow bicycles to even share public roads but it obviously wasn't a good one

But for real, don't build roads that are only meant for cars.... we already have freeways/highways for just vehicles - cars and bikes and peds can have all the other roads. No wonder this country is obese and dying...

The cyclist was at fault 100%. Next he's a hypocrite. He passed you on the right to then burn through a red light. When you passed him he was completely in the left lane, then pulls into your lane without even looking. I can't stand cyclists like this guy, and there's plenty. @MysticCoyote Dude, its literally the same as if there were cars there, its just bikes instead, given they were quite spread out, but they have to be, they have to be spread out to have enough time to react to situatons that could put them in danger, all over the world bikers ride in groups like that, i see nothing wrong with the bikers actions. Correct me if you must, ill take all the hate i can get. Its what keeps me going.

Actually after reading all the comments i have seen that so many would have punched the guy for taking his keys ...but in my view the guy handled that beautifully ...just look how he made sure his gf was ok and not to get upset......this guy in my view in a saint and a good person ...I really don't think the other guy is .!!
