Student Dr. Michael Carter received their Bachelors of Science Degree in Public health concentrating in Epidemiology and Immunology and are now a second year DO student at Kansas City University. Their previous research consists of working in an infectious disease laboratory focusing on vaccine development to prevent cholera outbreaks in developing areas. After starting medical school, they started working at Children’s Mercy Research Institute in a pediatric clinical research laboratory focusing on cognitive development and obesity prevention in children. Their current specialty interests are general surgery and Reconstructive plastic surgery.
