Nope, Akagi vs Enterprise because it was real and they were their nation's flagships in 1942 Akagi was a flagship of Yamamoto as Enterprise was Chester Nimitz's However Shoukaku or Zuikaku vs Yorktown-5 or 10 + Lexington-2 or 16 would be a brawl!

@@MainMite06 That isn't quite correct. Enterprise was Rear Adm Spruance's flagship over TF16 during Midway while Yorktown was Vice Adm Fletcher's flagship over TF17. Fletcher had tactical command over Spruance at Midway. Spruance succeeded Halsey as commander of TF 16 but not as commander for the carrier forces.

Well its pretty actually realistic: All ships,including carriers, in WW2 had to perform constant course changes to avoid torpedos, dodge dive bombers, & by 1944 in Pacific, dodge Kamikazes. Some could say that CV-6 Enterprise avoided being sunk at Midway by constantly swerving and by accident, suffering a rudder actuator failure that caused the ship to steer left-hand in circles until the fire in the stern room was extinguished. This major course change & a storm allowed Enterprise & her task force to escape the Midway battle undetected by the enemies, this would be the day that she join the club of ships named "Grey Ghost"

Everytime Akagi thinks she killed Enty.

*Real life lore* , CV-6 Enterprise was such a valuable target for the IJN that during Midway, bombing targets were being fixated on Enterprise rather than the island of Midway because this was the one ship they didnt sink yet, and was the one orchestrating the biggest counteroffensives of the USN. Imagine how many Japanese fighters & bombers had been defeated by Yorktown, Enterprise, & Hornet's air groups...
