Yeah thats what I thought. They have four all together. This one is by the Harwood Heights water tower on Oketo Ave. They also have one on Foster and Cumberland. Thanks for watching!

Oketo ave,..is where the bridgeview community center is located in bridgview... been there several times for the toy con shows..in the past.

@@jimgahn9188 Subtitles are more for those who have hearing trouble but many people in the world do end up with trouble with their ears as they get older which is very annoying but there are also those that never end up with it at all

I've been to Norwood only once, for a festival last year....a friend of mine, was in a band...went there but was a little late for the concert.

Same thing with the siren at URS, theres a buzzing sound when the alert tone is played.

Why does it seem to get louder from all angles when it powers down?

Most definitely not only the sound of the voice but also when the Siren starts to rotate

Is this siren controlled by DTMF tones? You don't hear them playing over the siren's sound system as you do with so many other sirens.

Aren’t these sirens in disrepair? I saw another video of one of these same sirens glitching out

Im currently deciding if I should go to the Niles Thunderbolt 1003 or the Whelen with the 2001 a few blocks away. But I am going toward the Thunderbolt.

I saw that airplane fly so low I was thinking, "OH NO! NOT AGAIN!"

Could I hear a 560 Hz Whelen as well as the tbolts

I noticed the Voice coming from the siren horn is producing a lot of echoes

one of these is in hasville I see it every time I come back home

You are very true about that

Your talking about a bunch of different sirens from this city. This one is close to Iggy's and is on Oketo.

how loud was it

This is located right near the path for Chicago’s oHare airport. That is why the planes were all flying low. I know where the 4 4004 sirens here are on a map.

I'm not sure, but I think there is one of those in East Rockaway, ny

This siren and the others around norridge and harwood heights only activated for a tornado warning ONCE. At least when i was around. it went off i think 2013, 2012 and it said something like "this is a tornado warning, seek shelter now."

The voice sounds weird when the Siren head faces directly at the camera that the person that recorded the video used

what they need to do is play Hulk Hogans theme song for the test.

The Killer Clown The Vortex cannot do voice because the amplifiers used in the Vortex will not support voice. Other then that they are pretty much the same siren

Also, from what I've gathered, Vortex R4s have a square rotation box while the 4000 series has more rounded ones.

Weird. Where I live in Illinois, they don't give any sort of voice alert before the sirens go off. They just start them up at 10am on the first Tuesday of every month.

they do the test the first tuesday of every month at 10am

The voice is not glitchy, the screens are resonating

At one point I can actually hear the motor that drives the head as the siren rotates.

Nice! Where is this one? I've never been able to find any of their sirens. The Thunderbolts are probably Niles's. Good to know they are still used.

This is a rotating siren and is unidirectional which means it must play the voice in all the directions so it's heard at a distance. The siren you hear is probably omnidirectional and therefore requires voice to be played only once to be heard sufficiently.

No it is not. Vortexes cannot do voice. Only older 4004 had the X on the screen. Newer ones look like Vortexes.
