Cool sport, only came across it today. It's honestly more like Gaelic football than rugby. Ball shape aside, rugby is characterised by line-on-line field positions enforced by strict offside rules and the fact that the ball can only be passed backwards. Not only are the teams' positioning and passing movements more like those of Gaelic football, but the bumpy contact is more like GAA shoulder collisions than rugby's binding and bringing to ground. The 10-second "bounce" clock also reminds me of the soloing rule where gaelic football players can only travel 4 steps before having to hop the ball off the ground or their foot. Edit: Now that I think about it, the blue area around the goal zone works a lot like GAA's "square". A few people in the comments are wondering how the game works from a defensive standpoint, given how the team with the ball usually scores. This is a bit like high-level GAA too (hurling more than football, but still). Yeah, most plays result in a score. The winner will be the team who can do that more consistently (or defend well enough that their opponents score less consistently). 95% conversion rate beats 90%. You just need to reframe how you look at it. Scoring is the expected outcome, so turnovers are like goals. (GAA has the added bonus of having a way to score that's worth 3 points, so you still have those exciting "soccer goal" moments)
They even got Jeff bezos to referee
Well this games seems to be not evolved enough. there is no defense possibilities
This game hasn't evolved enough. CP's are effectively classed out and it needs a shot clock + incentive to get lower pointers to score rather than just take up floor space.

I definitely agree with you. Low pointers have a better time in basketball because they are able to utilize screens and be good defencemen but it seeems in rugby, they are really on the court for "taking up the floor". Pardon my English.
so good to see rugby played like this
Why doesn’t number 3 start his own team lining up with him and no one else

Crashing into someone ultimately slows them down meaning there is more chance of a ball turnover. Also, the lower pointers (those with more limited movement in their limbs) have an elongated chair with a 'pick' on the front. This helps to slide under a higher pointers chair to stop them from moving as much. There are also many more things to do to defend, such as pushing someone with the ball back over the half way line or pushing them out if bounds causing an immediate ball turnover
100th like
Needs a bit of reinvention
So boring...no defense possibilites.
How’s this even a sport surely whoever starts with the ball is gonna win
