Thank you for your thorough explanation. However I failed to complete the transfer. I followed all steps but at 08:14 the process got stuck at 72% and immediately asks me to input my name and says 'Unable to import, unknown error occurred' Im forced to click 'Skip import' and the whole process would fail What happened? How can I fix this? Whatsap and both OSes are on latest update

It yorks perfectly but you need to conect to wifi as described in the video and add a Google account absolutely if these steps are ignored it won't work. And your Android phone must be in factory configuration. You must need Android 12.0 minimum and IOS 15.5 Thank's for video.

Update: I managed to get the QR code now! Problem identified: The iCloud Backup was encrypted with a password. Despite the "copying" did asked for the password of the encrypted backup, it WILL NOT work. So, have your iCloud Backup UNencrypted!

You need to have a recent iPhone backup on iCloud, if you only have 5GB of iCloud storage, and your WhatsApp backup is bigger than 5GB then not all your chats will transfer. Update everything, follow the steps, good luck!

Enable USB debugging in the device system settings under Developer options. 1st u need find your device build number on your android phone and clicks on it 7 times until the pops up message showed up..Then u can find this option in one of the following Settings > System > Advanced > Developer Options > USB debugging.

Do I absolutely need to factory reset the Android phone? Btw, I hope this works for Oppo Redo A98 as well, since I don't think it's as common of an Android phone as say Samsung.

Is performing the Whatsapp backup on the iPhone absolutely necessary? The only way to backup is to my iCloud, but it doesn't have enough space for my whole Whatsapp chat messages + media. At 4:58, with the Data Transfer Tool launched by the Android Setup Wizard, it doesn't say it takes the Whatsapp data from backup, or from iCloud.

Almost forgot to update you guys. The WhatsApp backup to iCloud step on the iPhone is definitely not required. I completely skipped that because I didn't have enough iCloud storage. And it just worked fine.

You need the number active for login verification. If you no longer have access to the number/sim card the I'm pretty sure you'll lose your account

Muy buena pregunta, WhatsApp va a enviar el código de verificación a cualquier sea el teléfono que tiene la tarjeta SIM o eSIM por eso yo lo pude hacer estando el SIM en otro teléfono.

Try connect ur iPhone to ur PC itune and turn off Encrypt ur iPhone and try it all over again
