What if your old phone number is no longer in use by you as you transferred to another country. But the phone where you’ve used the old phone number is still with you and occasionally you connect to wifi and was able to use watsapp still even without a simcard in it? Will it keep the old data when i finally insert a new simcard and press change number in settings?

Does it show the other people the new number on opening profile? Even if we don't select notify option

First backup old whatsapp via whatsapp > settings > chats backup to google. Then put sim card from original whatsapp account in new phone then delete and reinstall whatsapp on new phone and it will load everything from google backup to new phone. Once finished you can now remove orig sim card and add the new sim card with new phone number and old numbers should still work as well as new number. Took me hours to solve. good luck!

@@harishs3878 Yes it still works as is the best method, "if" you have a new phone. If you are keeping your existing phone you only just need to put the new SIM car in the existing phone.

What after the transfer? If someone sends msg to old number, will that be sent to new number?

I think is not possible, if you do not have access to your old phone number ! I got myself a message from what's app, asking me for a verification code, which what's app tries to send it to my old phone number. So this was not possible, in my case !

My whtspp no. is lost and invalid now and I rest my iphone but I have my backup in iCloud how can I recover my data in new sim card help me from that kind of situation

They will be sending messages to your old number without knowing u can’t see them

I have lost Whatsapp from my phn accidentally , I have not uninstalled it .however it gets uninstalled. But I haven't the active sim of the number.
