I think this is a little misleading. There is still a choice, for example, Im an old-school film shooter and I often use vintage glass. So i try to get perfect exposure, I do little in post, maybe slight cropping, level. There are some advantages to Jpeg, slight warmth and contrast as part of the compression, and obviously it takes up much less space, both on the card and in file. Lots of competitions have been won using Jpeg, so its a little foolish to say RAW or nothing. It depends more on how you shoot, what you shoot too.
