Solution For File Name Problem With Canon EOS Cameras (7D, 70D, 5Mark II and more)

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In today's video I give you the solution to the problem that might occur with the name giving in your Canon Camera. The problem is that the file name doesn't show as it should do. Instead of the first character you see an Underscore. It's not a big deal but it can be annoying just because.
Anyway, it's very easily sovled as you can see.

I couldn't find the solution for this, I had no idea it was the color space... Thank you

Exact phenomenon happened to my R6 when I switched to Adobe RGB. You are the first to figure it out. Thanks.

So, this is the issue I have been having, however, with my EOS SL1 it happens to only some of the photos I take: taken on the same day when I haven't changed the colour space. Any thoughts on why that would be?

I just ran into the problem with file names after I was playing with some settings because the colour didn't look right in the environment I was shooting in, so I will just reset the white balance or whatever it was and hopefully that solves it. Checked this morning and the file names have gone back to IMG

Andreas Rehm You are right. If you for whatever reason shoot JPG you have much better gradients shooting in Adobe RGB. I shoot RAW and use Adobe RGB in post. Also: Using Adobe RGB solved for me some issues with printing on the Epson R2000. Shared the experience in this video: /watch?v=coTKarKSY6s

Choose sRGB as color space. I said that in the video.
