Sue I know how you feel I feel same way about my back pain sometimes I say out loud...... Go away pain but it doesn't... I WENT to a pain clinic hoped there was up to date help but I didn't learn of new medication.. It needs much more research... It spoils life

The worst mistake in treating back pain is having a surgery. The best you can do to help yourself is been patient don't allow the evil doctor to cut your waist or back they just need money for surgery and not ready to save you run for your life. Just keep on going your pain must run away one day. Step 1 eat light foods reduce your weight avoid alcohol. Sleep in time every night. Reduce smoking or stop smoking totally use hot pack get a good materase. Drink only paracetamol sometimes. Do exercise. After all this you will see miracle

I’ve had this for over 30 years.5 surgeries - 3 ruptured discs & nerve damage. SI joint pain as joints moving on nerves. I’m in agony! I’ve tried all the drugs he’s mostly mentioned. Gabapentin makes you have brain fog & weight gain & doesn’t help with the pain. I have morphine atm but they’re trying to remove it by making it difficult to get. They are so nasty to me at my surgery! I’ve to go to the pain clinic which I find a waste of time & the first commenter is right- we suffer because of drug addicts! I want to cut off my leg most days - but I’d still have the pain! 🤷‍♀️

How about the big pharmaceutical companies like Purdue that used manipulative advertising and bribed or incentivized doctors to write as many opioid prescriptions as they could even though they all knew the addictive qualities of pain meds like ocycontin. They targeted the working class mostly and created the opioid crisis, drug addicts are the casualties of the big corporation. I think you guys are blaming the wrong people....

I think I need strong opiods I can't even sleep at night sometimes i smoke cannabis just so I can sleep 😴

Im on tramadol atm it works great but i feel its not doing what it was when i started on it 6 months ago

I'd try ibroprofen 2 tablets

I have been left like this it feels inhuman

Viagra and IT band stretching helped my sciatica and tight lower back (DDD). Motrin doesn't work anymore. The "good stuff" is dangerous but works also. Time, stretching, good food, rest, and Viagra helped me with my latest lower back/mobility pain this time.

I had the same issue for years and years turned out it was trigger points in the back that are causing it. My massage therapist and chiropractor are working on it and it's getting better now.

Whats the best medication you can get in UK. Im using codine & paracetamol tablets, which is rubbish..... may aswell be a chocolate sweet. What does it mean when ur given strong medication such as tapentadol bupernorpine have tried everything in your list and it's not touching my pain I can't walk the pain stops when I sit . Ut to stand or walk longer than 5 mins Iam in tears and doubled over .I have now had fitted spinal spinal device and still .y life feels over I have not been able to return to work in 6 month my life don't feel like I have one so please what can take this pain away I have seriously tried antidepressants pregablin nothing is working .I just want something to give me a break

So ive been on Tramadol for a fracture in my back I noticed the medication helps right away but I do notice as well when I don't have it my back seems to hurts so much more than before. I also take gabapentin is not a narcotic. But it does help a lot as well. I have never been on tramadol before so can anybody tell me if this is normal ? I do have an appointment with my doctor to talk about my opiate plan.

I am thinking this guy needs to be in the quack category. He says pain relief is not essential. Let's have him get back to us after a week of being unable to sleep from excruciating pain. I have been on Mylan brand fentynal for 15 years. My Dr changed at my clinic, he doesn't like patches for pain, took me off of them. After over 2 months of trying other pain meds my PA wisely is putting me back on. I have had little issues with the patch. I have learned to cover them with transdermal patch to make sure they stay on. I am given Butrans transdermal to help with the highs and lows. I like the fact for me fentynal doesn't upset my stomach, doesn't make me tired, or make me feel high. For me Mylan brand is the way to go. I have tried others only to have allergic reaction or no pain control. My Dr puts Mylan brand only on script, forcing pharmacy and insurance to keep providing them.And also i got all my medication from a very relaible source and they deal with good medications too if you can't get it easily you can try them too.
