The Opera's are mostly sung in Italian, but the plays and simple operas are sung in English! The emotions of the characters and the dramatic scenes are mainly easy to follow! There are also classical ballets, talks, full orchestral programs and even comedy nights held there! Every event is an experience because of the atmosphere! No former Opera knowledge is required, or tuxedos! 😄

Glad you enjoyed the video, I’m from Sydney & I go to lots of concerts in the Concert Hall Opera House, also everyone dresses in casual clothes unless it’s a special event. Regarding Vivid Festival it’s a yearly 3 week event where the city of Sydney comes alive, it’s starts this year 24 May until 15 June. PS: I enjoy watching your videos 😃

The opera house is so magnificent that you dont need to like Opera music to be amazed..its just awe inspiring even on a gloomy day. Formal clothing is always appreciated in such a venue. You guys would be dressed perfectly for the dramatic architecture. Perfect. The ceramic tiles are really cool , little diamond Chevron shapes of tile perfectly laying over the whole thing. As a child I used to run up the outside walls on the weekends when we would go for family walks through the botanical gardens around to Circular Quay. The outside walls and steps are mostly barricaded off because of all the brides wanting wedding photos, influencers and random people ( or kids ) climbing or cluttering the facades.

My mother worked there for about 20 years so I got to see many shows for free with my friends and go up to the staff and show-people's cafe for meals

I watched this place being built in the 60' it opened in October 1973 up until 63/64 it was a Tram shed when Sydney got rid of its trams in 1961 before that it was a defence battery You can take a look at my video I did in 2023 walking around the whole structure showing parts Tourist video don't show it's in 3 parts when we were small children our parents and grandparents used to buy the Opera House lottery tickets

Just adding to David Pola’s comment - the Opera House Lottery was a great way for the government to raise the necessary funds to pay for the construction costs. I don’t remember any negative criticism about this method of paying for such an expensive building because the prize money was also quite generous.

I saw The Importance of Being Earnest in the Drama Theatre and a ballet in the Concert Hall however, I didn’t know the Opera House was so complex under its sails.

That was a super interesting video brothers. I've been to a wedding at the Bennelong Restaurant very posh. I've also been to a few concerts like Scottish comedian Billy Connolly. A truly unique and beautiful building.

Is Opera haram ? Not necessarily, it depends on the subject matter : "If the place is made for sinful acts, Muslim must avoid places made for sinful acts. If the place was made for general amusement, not only sinful, then it will be allowed as far as the gathering itself does not include sinful acts like sinful music or songs or dance, etc.".....
