    4:26 The only person to mention and show the payout % mech. I knew about the lip, didn't know it was what controls the payout %. You say you don't make money, only money from the bank, well that lip is also how these machines make money. Don't want people to win as much, leave the lip in and set it higher. But you have to get the sweet spot. Not so high no one ever wins, but not so low everyone wins. Removing it would be a bad idea.

    this is pretty cool!! I built a coin pusher for school and am trying to add the tilt sensor functions. I have everything I would need to set that up except for the solenoid. Could you help me out. What does the label on that blue solenoid that lifts the flap that stops coins from falling over say? It would be really cool if you could help me out. I love watching your videos, especially the ones from japan. keep up the good work and continue to make it rain!!!

    Pull the gearing apart, by taking the motor off, give the gears plenty off gear grease (polyurea grease), close it up and let it rip for a few hours, open again and add if any dry spots left.

    Seems a bit loud to me but who knows, maybe this is why arcades always have loud music, is it a planetary reduction gear in that box or something. Surprisingly primitive inside, that looks like a super old XT PC power supply, and most of the stuff is off the shelf parts cobbled together!

    That scraping sound, couldn't it be the "pushing plate"? Or the pin that moves inside the little slot to move the plate? Maybe put some PTFE composite strips (PTFE = Teflon) underneath it. Might take away some of the noise.

    I agree, the amount of motor noise is excessive. Most bar owners wouldn't have it. I wouldn't. I''m thinking the extra wire/ plug would be for a built in changer. I would like to see how that is secured and fed. Also, I would be curious what the profit to cost (average of $1500 / per new machine) payback time is for the owner.

  • @JaredJanhsen
    @JaredJanhsen4 жыл бұрын

    The gear reduction in the motor is what's making all the noise. Gear reductions like that tend to be rather noisy. Plus I don't think you'll be able to disassemble it to check the lubrication in there. If you can disassemble the gear case you could possibly clean it out and repack with some good Moly grease. I'd love to take a non-working one apart. It's definitely engineered to a certain price point for maximum profitability.

    @@ClawD00d If you really want to narrow down the source of the noise, you can always get a Mechanic's stethoscope from Harbor Freight. I'm pretty solid though on your noise issue being in the gear reduction from the motor to the pusher crank. The pusher itself seems to be on some pretty good drawer slides.

  • @JaredBernardy
    @JaredBernardy2 жыл бұрын

    It looks like a gear reduction at the top of the motor you could pack it with a lithium grease and reduce some friction noise. Other options would be fit the interior of the machine with some sound deadening foam. If you are using the machine for personal use maybe retrofit a power button on the front to power it on when you use it. Save the motor from burning out and you wont have to get down to the power it on and off. this is sick i want one

    very cool such a coin pusher. beautifully made. Regarding the noise of the engine, it is better to use a windshield wiper motor from a car. as far as the drive is concerned, it has a lower motor speed and the required voltage of 12V is already available through your computer power supply. I hope my proposal is of some use to you. thank you very much for your explanation. Regards, Cees Kuppens, The Netherlands.
