For those who don't get what's happening, Noel always likes the crowd to sing the opening few lines of Whatever, then take over by singing the opening lines again after the crowd have sung them. But Liam started singing straight away. Noel shook his head at Liam to indicate he fucked up by not letting the crowd sing first. Liam moaned and told him to sing it himself. When Noel takes over, he let's the crowd sing, but for some reason instead of Noel then singing the opening lines "I'm free to be whatever I...", he starts with the second part "Always seems to me..." which the rest of the band and orchestra weren't expecting, hence they're all playing the chords to the opening lines. So both brothers actually fucked up.

Noel’s a Gemini and Liam’s a Virgo...completely opposite temperaments forced to be together on the regular. If Liam had been born 1 day earlier he’d of been a Libra, and they would’ve been best mates. But as it is, one’s a stick of dynamite and the other one’s a lit fuse...we should be grateful at this point that one hasn’t outright murdered the other! this actually makes me feel kinda sad for liam. whatever the problem was, he felt that noel was being controlling and condescending, so he retaliates in typical younger sibling fashion by acting out and refusing to do what he's supposed to - but that just results in him looking like he feels excluded, like he can't contribute anything meaningful to the band. i remember an old quote from him where basically he felt useless once noel decided he wanted to start singing as well as playing guitar on their songs - he felt like he didn't have much to do, and you can see here he just cuts himself off and looks so sad that he can't enjoy the show with the others.

Fair play to Noel. He’s always said that he’s had to change the pitch of his songs for Liam to sing them……and he’s had to adjust his voice on the spot for that which isn’t easy. You can tell he’s not comfortable but he’s done it 👍

To be honest i think this was a perfect act between noel and Liam, it really show's oasis past and where they came from! we got an amazing talk of the true Liam Gallagar and then a wounder take over by Noel! Fantastic performance this video deserves no dislikes!

I do love that Liam doesn't have a major cry and comes back over and continues to be part of it.

I saw Oasis in Perth back in 1997 on their controversial "Be Here Now" tour. They caused mayhem on the flight over here and walked out on their Brisbane concert after only 30 minutes. Was a very good show. They do play extremely loud. Louder than any other concert I've been to.

Nothing will ever make me laugh as much as when Liam preformed songbird and everyone knew the lyrics because it’s one of liams own written songs and he barely looked at the fans directly and stared his brother Noel down while performing in Manchester with a white bucket hat and red jacket. Think it was 2005 video had me rolling. Hoping some day a reunion will happen because they’re both talented in their own way. Noel one of the best song writers we’ve seen and liams unique voice, diversity, fashion and persona will always be unmatched.

The thing I love about this band is that the fans have so much passion and even argue amongst each other of who loves them more and who is better Liam or Noel. Oasis is epic because the songs are brilliant and Liam's sound just adds to Noel's lyrics. Liam's has the better voice but Noel is the better singer. Hope they get back together. Final thought is that High Flying Birds outsold Beady Eye for the simple fact that Noel's songs were better. Looking forward to each of their follow ups.
