Passed my test this week with 2 minors. The test is so much easier than you build up in your head, just imagine you’re giving someone a lift, and they’re giving you directions. Good luck all!

I was on the line and the examiner told me to "just take the fault". I got no opportunity to fix it. I also stalled once at a junction and I failed. Other people have shared that they stalled multiple times and they still passed. Thank you for your video, as I have to pass next time. This was my 1st.

As someone with bad anxiety especially with the unknown this was a great video thank you!

Looking back now and how worried I was about doing lessons and passing my test it was actually quite easy tbh, getting past clutch control and learning round abouts it’s all pretty much straight forward, thanks to your videos anyway, good luck to who ever is worried or to do their test !

How long did it take for you to pick up stuff like clutch control? I've only just started learning and have barely any seat time so am just wondering how long I should be expecting.

@@neblolthecarnerd it's different for everyone but I think I got a lot more comfortable after about 5-10 hours ? Can't remember the exact moment per se. But having said that my driving only got a lot smoother after passing. My advice is don't overthink it and learn the basics of what the clutch actually does. Richard (this channel) has a good video on it. Knowing what the clutch does actually helped me when driving myself

@@TheUwaisPatel I've got upshifts and slow speed control down fine. Just have to smoothen out my downshifts and stop rushing or being too slow at certain things. I just need more time really probably. Thanks for the advice.

@@neblolthecarnerd downshifts are tough to stay smooth, just make sure you don't change down at too high of a speed and don't bring the clutch up too fast or it'll jerk. Bring it up slow and you can hold it at the biting point for a bit to allow for the car to match the revs. But yh like you said just need more time and it'll come to you.

I came back to say that I have watched your videos and I passed my test on Thursday, first attempt with only two minors. It’s really a hug achievement for me as I am not from the UK and this is my first ever driving license! Thank you for your videos.

Just passed my test Yesterday with 3 minors. Just want to say thanks for all these helpful videos. Still going to watch as part of the passed club and learn from them along the way. Been hard for me since losing my dad 2years ago. Used Inheritance money for lessons cause that's what he told me to do as I seen him slip away in my arms! Going to make you proud love you dad ❤️ Now I have freedom again and can go anywhere 😊

Don't drive in US on the left side of the road

I have taken my test 3 times before, once during covid and failed within minutes of the test and the last 2 spaced between 2 months and failed with the minors getting high and the serious/dangerous getting low. I was very anxious in my tests and would always fumble when I knew I can drive and do it well! So when it came to my 4th test, I watched this and the 'show me, tell me' videos a few hours before my test and I PASSED with NO MINORS. It is about having a positive mind space and truly being safe guys. Don't get put off if you don't pass first time, you'll appreciate it more when you pass later. Good luck man, just try your best try not to pressure yourself too much so anxiety doesn’t take over. If you pass amazing if not rebook and try again. You’ll get it sooner or later 👍

Anxiety will go away as soon as the day comes. I found that the examinator was the one having anxiety 😂, i just ignored him.

I passed my test third time today with 1 minor after 4 years of lessons. Your video helped me so much along the way so thank you 🙏🏼

Just passed my test a couple hours ago. 11 minors, which is more than I hoped but 3 of those were for separation distance in wet weather which was a bit tricky since it was very heavy traffic! Richard your videos have been an immense help, a damn sight more than my actual instructor. Thanks for what you do!

Been studying your videos closely and I passed with 3 minors. Your mindset and advice has given me that extra push to help me pass my test and do what I feel is right. Had several moments where I simply corrected myself or made my own path to preserve road safety instead of panicking and doing what the examiner told me to do!

I passed my driving test, and while my instructor was decent i learned a lot from you, like smoothly stopping or more important things like anticipation while driving, even after having my driving license i will continue watching your videos because they further improves my driving skills :D

I'm really happy today, I got my driver's license delivered to my mail. I had my driving test twice and failed both time because I get super anxious! And I will love to share my steps and tips with y'all. Try to focus on increasing your confidence levels. First, if you absolutely cannot control your anxiety like I, taking a few deep breaths usually helps in relaxing. Whether that helps or not, I HIGHLY recommend watching KZread videos of road test recorded using a dashcam or you pay a professional dmv attorney that can walk you through the process of skipping the test drive to get your license. Are you worried of failing, Are you worried of being in the vehicle with a stranger? Combo of both? Something else? paying an attorney to do that work is just the best way to overcome your worries and get your license like I do. Remember "Practice makes Perfect." ............and there's nothing to worry about if you did it well on your own! mments William Tillman

As a older ( 45) learner I watch your videos alot. I take my test in a couple of months and will be watching your videos more . They have been really useful to me so I can take information in with our being in the car.

I passed today at Hendon test centre in London on the 3rd attempt in manual. I watched hours of Richards video from the start and can say Richards videos helped a lot. His video on getting into the right mindset helped a lot. Dont try to go in wanting to pass. Enjoy the ride.

Just wanted to say, Richard, your videos have really helped me. Watched this one in particular the day before my test and put it into practice. Managed to pass with 0 faults, thanks, at least in part, to your advice and guidance. Thank you

I passed 1st time a few weeks back. Your videos were very helpful especially tips like how to tell the speed of roads etc. Though for my test I thought I failed 15 minutes in because the Examiner went to break the car. But why I didn't fail is because I also broke at the same time. What happened was I was waiting to come out onto a round-about and saw the car coming out from my 1st exit indicating right. Assuming she was coming off where I was coming from. That she would be my shield for a gap to pull out of. The second the cars stopped to let her by I glanced to see where I was going. Started to move off and then glanced back just to make sure to realize the car was doing a full 360 on the round-about. So I had to break sharply but I noticed the examiner did the same thing. I thought I failed so was completely surprised when he told me I passed. When I asked him about it. He said he assumed the same thing I did and would of done the same thing and while yes he did react but because I reacted myself also and broke at the same time. He let it go. my nerves shot through the roof thinking I failed but managed to keep it together enough to pass. I thought to myself that I will keep trying my best cause at least then I will know which areas I still need to work on for the next test. Luckily that never happened

I passed start of this year January, it took me a good six months to gain the confidence alone, a lot better now but I’m still new so I can get ahead of myself or too compliant, also my first mot is coming up in a week, I have checked fluid levels, tyres and bulbs so just keeping fingers crossed now, back when I was a learner your videos where amazing!

Hey Richard, as a brit who is currently living in Berlin (and never got around to learning to drive in the UK), I am super grateful for all of your extremely informative videos. Of course, not all the road rules and norms are the same here (quite a few are pretty different), but your videos have still helped me immensely in feeling comfortable with the art of driving manual. I passed today on my second attempt, and I can certainly attribute a ton of the credit to your videos! Once again Richard, thanks for the amazing video. They have been such a help to me. I've recently just got a cancellation for a couple days time, and hopefully all goes well. 2nd time around after I failed the first time for just following distance (maintaining a 3 sec gap, on a moist road) I was (and slightly still am) quite disappointed and upset about it but I know that I'll pass the test eventually. Been driving for almost a year as a learner (thanks to how long these test backlogs are) and just want to pass. I failed first time late November due to hesitation at roundabouts and I was also disappointed! I’ve got a cancellation in a few days as well but in a different town so I’m feeling quite nervous too! I hope you pass!
