Remember people: don’t feel like you have to get everything designed the way you want so fast for your home. Focus on the most important things first and save for the things needed.

yes! Things relating to aesthetics can be done later after you settle and save up some more money!!
Thank you so much for your honesty. This is very encouraging to not rush the process- as someone in the mid 20s- and not feel rushed. I think social media makes us look at the milestone and not consider all the things that come with it. I look forward to when I can be ready, but I’ll be content while I prepare. 😊

Love this! I agree that social media makes it look like you should accomplish all the milestones in your early twenties. But sometimes we are not ready for it. no rush 😃
The thing with newly flipped houses are that, they used the cheapest material, they cover things that are progressively getting worse but not at its worse yet, to get the house sold. And those things that were progessively getting worse eventually eventually become your problems that you have to spend extra thousands of dollars on within a year or so. So sometimes, if the time allows, its always better to just get a property that is not renovated, so you know what is put into your house.
So proud and happy for you!! You’re killing it Jeanine! Praying my parents can become first time homeowners soon, God-willing. 🙏💕
LOVE this video!!! Sooo useful and helpful! I always trust your advice & I’m loving this series! Thank you for being so open and honest!

I’m thinking of getting a condo too, less work really. Nevertheless when things break you still have to get someone to fix it or do it yourself 🙄

My husband and I just started house hunting for our first house yesterday! Thank you for the video :)
Ahhh !! I always get so so excited to watch your videos :) xx

@@soul2deep578 I’m not sure if I would say easier, but it just made since for us with where we were at in life. I recommended looking into both and touring lots of homes both new and old. We had to do that to decide what we wanted to do. Do your research and a get a relator that wants to help and not just in it for the $$$.
Excited for the next video! ☺️ this was helpful
when you said " YOU DID THAT". i started smiling because your absolutely right!!. just closed on my first home and am blessed to be able to say that! love the content

I also did real estate photography for 4 years and I still have no yet found the home in my budget that I want so wish me blessings and luck! Lol ❤💖

Congratulations, on purchasing your first home🏡 🙏🏾Blessings
Congrats on purchasing a home! Owning a home is definitely a lot of work and expenses, but it's also very rewarding, as you said. Could you do a video describing all the expenses you have in your new home?
This information is so valuable.
Thank you SO MUCH 💗💗💗💗
this was such an amazing video
That’s why you hire a contractor. Contractors will talk directly to insurances, we know how to approach them. They don’t want to pay but we have our ways to deal with them
Does your roommate has a renter insurance? Technically she is renting from you. That’s like having double coverage. You are covered because of your homeowner insurance. And coverage for your roommate because she will have renter insurance.

Renters insurance basically covers her roommates personal property in case of theft fire flood. Not so much on the home.
The exact same reason we put a smoke detector in our attic!!! Definitely get a good home inspector, we had to fight for a refund from ours!
Is this Richardson, Texas, we have a construction company and a lot of pipes are breaking because they are old. We have a lot of clients calling us to fix water pipes issues
Did you record this with the canon r5?

Great tips. Now I need to go ask my husband if we have a fire detector in our attic.
Inspector and insurance and smoke detectors Id add if you have a larger vehicle make sure it fits in the garage
Hey Jeanine, you are so beautiful !! Love you always ☺️☺️
You always get flooding insurance it doesn’t matter the area

Especially with Climate Change, everyone needs to consider it, no matter where they are.
Great video! You got this. I couldn't help but think that a lot of the things you mentioned would be solved with a husband 🤣
Omg 😳 so true
Get a good inspector and never buy a flipped house. Most people that flip houses do it the cheap way and not the right way!

Not just “renovated” as anyone can renovate and update a nice family home. It’s people (usually real estate investors) who buy distressed/foreclosed homes at low cost with the purpose of fixing them up (some times just putting lipstick on a pig) and reselling them at a profit. The house likely needs a LOT of work, and the flipper often puts profits over safety and function, thus costing the next homeowner crazy costs in repairs. At my flipped home, we found a lot of issues hidden behind freshly painted walls and new flooring. Lesson learned.
If you don’t have an attic where else should you put a smoke detector?
Do you believe that when people own their homes, they become their parents just like in the Progressive commercial?

So many untrue things in this video. Take some time to research these tips before implementing them.
