I really like this speech given by Rabbi Manis. It has a storyteller's vibe. I like the wavy beard, the hat tilted back, the side swaying he does in a place or two, the pauses... It's kinda cozy. I would imagine that Mark Twain might tell a parable in this way if he were among friends. It's casual, but arresting to watch and hear. It is appealing in the rhythm of his speech as well. I just really like this. Perhaps he could use it especially for speaking to a group of young people or people that he is casual with. It's almost like a characterization. I am very charmed by this. I think it is more intimate and human. Some of his speeches are more authoritative, still warm, but strident. I wanted to pull up a chair to be closer.

Brenda, whether man or woman, the effects are the same. Please, as a woman, don't buy into this view that men's ego needs to be handled more delicately. There are plenty of women in the world that do not reach their potential and live a life of abuse because they were and/or are put down. Men and women, all of us, have the obligation to do our best not to destroy others emotionally, physically or spiritually. There was a deep lack of wisdom in his message. This was a patriarchal message on steroid and was met to, once more, blame us for men's failures without ackowledging that men are guilty of the same and worse.

@@l.m.rheault9191 dude? Look at the core key of why is happening. Some man just has a evil heart and don't like being treated like nothing so they get angry. Man with good heart just what to lay down and give up when being treated like nothing. Yes it's said to see a woman beat, it the core key of something making him feel like nothing and he get straight from destroying. Ok im nothing your nothing type of thing. Some man cant take the angry out what is making them feel like nothing so they go destroy what they can. You see it all over the place, it all come to the core value of being treated like nothing.

In chapter 14 in the Tanya, the Alter Rebbe teaches men to control their lust because "a woman is a vessel full of filth''. (In the older editions, he stated to look at her as a ''zona'', but apparently this sentence was removed). In the mind of a man, this admonition, regardless of the Rebbe's intent to cultivate his nefesh elokit , is pure poison to a woman and to marriage. Not only is it a lie and a stab in the heart to all womankind, it has the very real potential of creating a pathologic relationship of misogyny in a man. A woman should ''NEVER'' be thought of as the abomination that the Rebbe describes in his book. If the Alter rebbe were truly a man of enlightenment, he would teach the men that they should look at an attractive woman with the same RESPECT as his sister, his mother, his daughter, his grandmother, etc. and that it is HIS responsibility to control his lust.

I'm in the process of converting to Judaism. Im 53 and my husband divorced me 7 years ago after 27 years of marriage. I happened by chance to meet a Jewish man (South Dakota has hardly any Jews) we dated for almost a year but I broke it off recently. He began to be belligerent, would raise his voice and become angry at me at the drop of a hat, he finally went too far and I left him. I have a question and this is it. Are men who were raised in Jewish homes taught that this was proper? When I finally broke up with him I told him "you can't treat people like that Daniel! No one is going to allow themselves to be belittled!" He looked so puzzled and shocked I became puzzled and shocked that he considered that normal behavior. Is it normal for a Jewish household? I had planned once I was finished converting to move to an area with more Jews but if that's the norm I'll still convert because it's not about a man's behavior. It's about a spiritual journey that I'm compelled to do. I just won't move to a Jewish community. I hate being yelled at

I'm in the process of converting to Judaism. I just happened to meet a Jewish man (it was a blind date. I had no idea he was Jewish) I grew up in a home where my father never berated or raised his voice to my mother. She respected him and loved him. I was married for 27 years and thought my ex husband was selfish and cheated he never once yelled at, belittled, raised his voice to or constantly critiqued me. I recently broke up with this man because he began doing all of those things to me! Idk if it's a male Jewish thing or he just happened to be that way. I told him when I broke up with him that he has absolutely NO self control and in fact all five of my children had more self control than he did at age 6! And I meant it. Im a little bit of a feminist. Mostly since my divorce 7 years ago. I'm 53 and I have MS. NO man is going to help me or protect me. I see that now. Therefore I have no choice but to be a feminist and stand up for myself. Having MS (multiple sclerosis) is a nightmare. I am not going to stroke a man's ego while he belittles me because that's "just how men are" him speaking of injustice made me think however. My Jewish ex boyfriend called me his "little social justice warrior" haha I'm a home health aide part time and am a champion of rights for the elderly.

That's why in bereishit it says the sons of God saw that the daighters of men were fair and chose whoever they felt like and from them came the nefhilin. Adam is the son of God and Eve is the daughter of Adam because she came out of him, therefore referring to her flesh of my flesh bone of my bones. Same as when Laban called Jacob flesh of my flesh and bone of my bones even though Laban isn't his father but is the brother of Isaacs wife. So only parents call their sons flesh of my flesh and bones of my bones, . Therefore saying Man is the image of God because just as God came from nothing , so by man being His image have all the attributes God himself has with the exception that God is the crown of man and man is the clay which God breathed in and thorough man God manifests Himself.. That's why you said in another video about a child that couldn't speak , so when his mom sent him to the Rebbe about her husband whereabouts , he told him " tell your mother her father is in Germany" Then you Rabbi. Friendman said what the Rebbe decrees God fullfils. So that says that completely united with God we can change our future and fate by just decreeing what we want. Is not entirely dependent on God alone to make it happen but 95% of our own brow and sweat. By whatever means prayer, labor, strategy, planning, in any way or shape even by supernatural means. God will provide as in Abraham sacrifice offering when he ( Isaac asked his father where is the sacrifice? Abraham answered , God will provide. All we have to do is get there and God will provide. Like you said in another video about Moses walking to the black sea to spilt it. Just do it. Nike famous brand.

He's kind of just identifying women as smarter, better, and more evolved than men, so anyone who has done the introspection and self-development to, say, not need to acquire things in order to bury an internal emptiness, will relate more to his characterization of women. The irony, to me, is that anymore we see a growing number of young women frantically doing just that.

Dear Rabb , with best regards. AN interesting topic. However, this maybe popular belief, but contrary to the law of nature. This idea is more of philosopher story of a self made man. This is not what our ancestors demonstrated in yesterto years. I wasn't logic then it insnt now!.

In this nothingness is great hail, great creativity and sweetness, and opportunity and potential,. new life, new plans, new changes, start from nothingness,. Out of nothing begins the new, ,. But, Rabbi, coming together in the agreed act of giving each other the creation of SOMETHING beautiful, and the woman receives his contribution with appreciation, they now have something they can both remember and trust. A man needs to know that he can trust his wife not to reject him , especially in the bedroom. We do need TRAILBLAZERS which is their past conscience of why he was put here in the first place. Men are “fix it” people. They also solve problems.Women are needing protection now, more than they ever did. I think you are going a little too extreme.
