Devs confirmed 60 pulls on day one, 250+ at the end of the first week There's gonna be a 5 star character selector where you can choose between Mona, Skull and Ann And there's gonna be a Novice banner where you can choose the 5 star character you want to get after 50 pulls max, it includes all 5 star characters available at release excluding Joker Besides Wonder, we have 4 characters that are given for free during story, the gacha tutorial, and with pre-registration bonuses So at the very least for the beginning of the game, it's gonna be very f2p friendly

The Pity in this game is actually pretty much to what is the standard for Gachas, with its pity being almost exactly like the hoyoverse games. Saying its pity is low is by no means true by gacha standards. a 5 star or UR is the equivalent to getting triple 7s on a slot machine. What makes that 0.6% disgustingly low or not will be more so based on how easy it is to get the currency to pull either by playing the game, from the devs, or The conversion rate. For Example, Genshin you get maybe 50 pulls a month doing EVERYTHING possible while in Star Rail getting 30 for free from the devs just by logging in when a patch comes out and thats not including doing all the content. one makes that 90 wishes to get a 5star character feel alot more painful and annoying

@@FrostiOrca Comparing it to Hoyo just makes it even less appealing for me cause I find it to be the worst system outside of the pity carrying over. They might even make the game unrerollable, or very fucking tedious, if they're looking follow Hoyo's footstep, which to me is another L Maybe I'm just being spoiled lately cause I've been playing Solo Leveling Arise but that game has prolly one of the best gacha system I've seen so far. It has the pity carryover of Hoyo but you get a shit ton of free pulls for both standard and limited, the rates for a 5 star is at least above 1%, pity/soft pity is also lower, and you get to pick 4 5* to have boosted rates on the standard banner which you can switch around whenever you like. I havent touched any of my gems and I own 10/15 5 stars already, including the limited, mainly from the free pulls

Thats just a comparison with a gacha of similar rates. Genshin also doesnt use the SSR model for Characters. Hell Arise has a 1.2 rate for an SSR which is its max rarity until it possible adds UR like most gachas and even then you could consider its low when compared to say Blue Archive (2.5%) and FE Heroes (6%). Being able to choose your first Standard character is fairly common nowadays with even Star Rail letting you choose one on its standard banner after a set amount of pulls and an assured one for its beginner banner. Hell Cookie Run Kingdom which is one of the bigger Gachas has no pity system but because of the amount of gems you get it makes it extremely unlikely you wont get them on banner or you can buy them later with milage points. the 1% is just your chance to randomly get them at any point and which unless youre pulling alot in one setting most people wont notice

Im really interested in how the gacha systems will mix in with like the persona systems like will charter you pull just become socail links?

Does anyone know if china is able to play the original persona 5? I’m just confused on the polish of this game and the reason for it.

I’m more excited to play P5x than worrying about the banners itself. I did play Hatsune miku colorful stage and it also has gatcha. I remember spending so many gems but unfortunately didn’t get a four star at all, so I basically just gave up the event gatchas and just play the rhythm game. Can’t wait for US release!

Hopefully this is on the ps4, ps5, or switch

So what about the fusions? Will they literally not exist anymore, science you get personas from lootboxes I'd assume that you don't get them from the lvl either? I don't know about you, but fusions is one of my favorite mechanics in persona games.

SMT gacha game is nothing new. They have fusion mechanic in Dx2 SMT Liberation which was released back in 2018, I don't see why they wouldn't incorporate the same thing to P5X since the game mechanic is much more smaller in scale compared to Dx2.

I don't care for Gacha games but I am hooked on P5 & the adventures of the Phantom thieves, Hoping P5 gets one more major release or add on before they drop it for P6 which is on the way.

I expect this not to release in certain countries in EU, since gacha games are basically gambling and gambling without a licence is illegal there.. like in the Netherlands. games like Lost Ark and Diablo immortals didnt even release. This all started because of the FIFA ultimate team packs that these rules are enforced now.

4:25 is that Rise in the poster? Does that means the events from other Persona events does happen in this game besides the mainline P5 events?

I don't know if it's been 100% confirmed for Persona 1 and 2 besides some context clues in the Velvet Room. However between all the references made across the modern games, both subtle and undeniably blatant (that poster was also in base P5 by the way), it's a given by now that Persona 3, 4 and 5 all exist in the same timelines. There are minor variations in alternate timelines like P5X and P3P, but the core events and most main characters should still apply even there.

Persona 3, 4, and 5 all happen in the same world. Shin Megami Tensei, P1 and P2 all happen in the same as well, but it's not confirmed if they happen in the same world as 3 - 5

I am currently playing for free (not going to spend money on gacha) and it's pretty good so far.

i still prefer persona 5 royal main protagonist and format of the game but atleast there IS a persona game, not sure if persona 6 is still a thing tho. -the persona series kinda seems like the cheat code for atlus for easy money lol-

6:00 Reducing player choice to increase the difficulty is incredibly poor game design and does nothing other than dumbing down combat, which is fatal in turn based rpgs because the main draw of combat in _all_ smt games has always been strategy. It's literally _always_ possible to greatly balance a video game using only numbers, e.g. healing can never be overpowered if the amount is low, e.g. in Persona 4 the first couple of dungeons were by far the hardest because your healing options were super weak and there was a major risk of slipping into a cycle of having to use all your turns just to prevent party member death or accepting losses and trying to actually win. It's just that reducing player choice is the cheap and easy way to increase difficulty and "balance" the game so it's used commonly as a crutch when the devs are not good enough to find a good way to balance the game in the time and budget they are given (or management are total idiots). SMT Liberation Dx2 is another SMT gacha game and instead of going the way of P5x to reduce choice and fun it just adds a huge amount of choice, there are several hundred 5* demons by now and ALL have 1-3 unique skills with Sega adding a lot of new mechanics like enemy affinity reduction, Fortify / Decay that increase or decrease demon HP by 20% per count, etc., etc., etc.. Sega also frequently adds hard boss fights that show that even in a game with a myriad of different powerful skills and tons of mechanics, difficulty and balance are merely a matter of tweaking numbers and existing game mechanics. E.g. One of the hard bosses was added when zeus based parties were popular and did ungodly amounts of damage so in order to prevent this boss from being just steamrolled easily by such a party Sega gave them 150% physical damage reduction, crippling such parties that heavily relied on Zeus and Odin dealing massive amounts of physical elec damage and critting a lot. PS: also, if healing is too much of an issue DX2's version of the Curse ailment reduces all healing effects by 80% so they could have enemies apply this, etc.

Not interested in gacha trash, but this one may include all the characters in Persona series, and may turn some NPCs into playable persona users. Hope I can play as Nijima Sae one day, or Maya from Persona 2. F2P is my way to go. If the gambling is so harsh I can't pull anything interesting, I will probably drop it. Don't want to support gambling addiction anti-consumer games.

I don't like this game being on mobile. Just doesn't feel right for a persona game to be on mobile, but I hope this game comes to console at some point, I might check it out. But I don't know if I'll enjoy this one. It seems good, but it should've just been a regular spin-off game for consoles, not a pc and mobile gacha game.

I really hope they change the one more aspect of the combat, I don't really like what they did there at all

the normal 1 more system will not work with the gacha system for what do you need diffrent characters if you just win every fight when you get 1 weakness hit as said in the video, we dont really know anything about the gam if it has relics or eidalons like honkai star rail which will make characters better and also it doesnt work with the new aoa attack sytem from p5x

Game looka great and all... but it's a gacha game. How exactly is it supposed to have a single-player story mode when it's a gacha game? I don't get it. You play the story, but other players play it better if they "Pull" better characters? You don't pull the main characters. You pull equips and demons/persona. They do have main stories and event stories. You unlock the main stories as you progress the main content. You could also choose to play the event stories to unlock event characters, equips and demons/persona. This is what I remembered from playing Dx2 Liberators for a short period of time, f2p.

Is this pay to win

Well no Strikers is considered a sequel to Persona 5/Royal as Royal is more of a updated version of 5 and tactica isn’t considered a spin-off as it carries a few months after Strikers but the dancing games and the ds games no those are indeed spin-offs as they have no time frame within the actual persona story

Ye I dabbled in gachas before. Nothing good ever comes out of it besides the suffering of my wallet. If you guys can enjoy a game like that as an f2p then power to you but I usually either get annoyed by all the shop ads or scummy tactics or just sometimes my willpower falters and I end up buying a boost or two... so yeah, hard pass. It's not like we SMT fans are starving. SMT V will finally get on PC and better than ever. P3 just got a remake and I have a feeling p4 will get it too. Truth be told, if I ever feel like I need SMT experience again then I will just replay some of the ones I beat and do a challenge run or, screw it, play Soul Hackers 2 with all it's imperfections. Hear me out or not, but please save your sanity, don't play gachas. Enjoy the soundtrack online, maybe check out the story with some YTbers but don't get involved in a gacha.
