If you've just been diagnosed don't freak out it's not the end. It's the beginning of a better life.

    Thanks for sharing! I too didn't get treated till I was 30. Wish I would have been diagnosed sooner. It would have helped with all the fuck ups. Anyways thank you.

    I got diagnosed recently from going from what I now understand as hypomania to mania with the assistance of SSRI's. It, has changed my worldview. Not a man who cries to having "mixed episodes" and crying 4 times in a day but between that feeling "ok?". I view it as "artificial moods" I shouldn't feel the way I do, but then I do. Then the mood influences the thoughts I get. I feel like I lost my.. stability, and in turn my attention, memory and patience. Now I am living in fear of my medication, and the next episode. I never knew fear like having my mind go against me, it knows how to hurt you. Diagnosed ADHD, Bipolar 1, anxiety at 35.

    I'm sorry. I had really horrible experiences with medications in the past so I understand the fear. It does work though once you find the right one. I have no side effects now. Don't give up, it will get better. ❤️
