The Drawer dishwasher: I just installed mine. Pros and cons, where you might have expected only "pros". There is no heating element or function to actively heat/dry the contents or itself. So, the ceiling of each bay stays dampish and to really get them all actually dry, you have to just leave the bay open to the air, ideally fully open. Not the best even though they talk up their "ultra dry" feature. In reality there was no "ultra" about it aside from how long it takes LOL

Just bought that refrigerator. So far, I like it. What I did not know is that unless you install it in a cabinet, the unit sides are painted black. The wife wanted a totally white fridge and went ballistic when she saw it in our kitchen. Fear not, GE said, you can purchase add-on white panels to cover the black housing for the nominal fee of $359.00, each, (for a left and right side). Needless to say, happy wife, happy life and $718.00 just went poof. Waiting on receiving and installing the ordered panels. Hope they arrive undamaged and actually fit, or I'll go poof.

Cancel the panels and buy quart of any kind of paint in the color you or your wife desire 😂 probably for around $18

Since haier now owns GE and thus the Cafe line, is this a brand we can trust for its reliability? That's the only question making us hesitant to buy this very day.

Very similar to (perhaps same as) F&P except the F&P has the control pad on the front while the Café controls are inside each drawer and a bit less intuitive to use (comparing my short experience as Café owner to videos showing F&P). My initial impression compared to a standard GE model is that i can fit more dishes into the standard model. But the drawer feature is nice; and the unit is pretty quiet (which is kind of a problem since there's no display showing progress of a wash cycle so I have to put my head against the machine to see if the cycle ended.

I would hate the pitcher spigot too. But my kids would LOVE it and use it all the time! I’m sure it’d fill quicker than the usual 0.5gpm of standard dispensers.

Ha! I just got the counter-depth Cafe that has the spigot (no pitcher) and I just used it to fill a glass of water. I will continue to use that feature but you're right that it's far from ideal. I'll try to learn to love it.

I have had a cafe four-door refrigerator for about 3 years have had nothing but trouble with it first the fans go out on it will not freeze, now the ice maker has gone out actually it just makes ice real real slow my opinion so far as these are nothing but junk.

Needs two water dispenser units one for inside one for out for the Reefer Unit and overall wifi access to their *"web site"* so that these types of videos, interactive ideal but also purchasing filters etc is so determinative for the Industry at the moment but yes these are truly imaginative and amazing products. As far as LCD Displays should be outsourced to Apple and/or Google (both) in order to handle not just Display Options but all I have said here as well same said be true too possibly of Amazon but also of course now Tesla even Intel now. Microsoft will never *"go here"* as why bother with food when you're playing Dungeons and Dragons for 20 Years straight now?

I don't think the dark gray inside the refrigerator is a good combo with a white fridge and led light wall. It contradicts the intension of the light wall itself to darken the experience. Its a shame really. I don't understand how this passed QA.

Sadly GE - once a blue chip American company - has been bought by Chinese company Haier. Quality has gone done.

Yes GE lost me as a customer years ago, they’d give you some fun extra features that wouldn’t add real functionality and cost more while other bits broke. GE just won me back with the One And Done all in one washer/dryer. An appliance that finally frees me from housework and cleans beautifully and gives me space back! Once my new kitchen goes in it will be all GE, something I would not have expected a few years ago. I always try to buy local, American, but a lot of these companies did not keep up with the times and new iterations of them might be owned by overseas companies but they’re doing well and many are building and sourcing much in America.

Flat white with bronze handles? That color combination will stay in style about as long as the "harvest gold" appliances of my youth. This stuff is not going to wind up in my kitchen. Flat black? Um, no thank you.
