Women and men think differently in general, and he asked the question. Why they get offended with the table question and she answered. Asking that question only sets you up to be lied to, once women figure out the “right” answers. They will play the role and eventually switch up. This is known to the older generation but modern men seem to be going back to that way of thinking. Women generally aren’t logical planners in nature.

Mystery? Isn't that the point in getting to know someone, going on dates and collecting 'data'. Both women and men can evaluate each other with conversation and have the right to decide if that person is right for them. I do agree that she was combative but actions and patterns will always speak louder than asking someone what they bring to the table.

@@relleyy It is . ( the point in getting to know someone) I agree. I assure you its not a willful or legitimate 'dense' as it is me being facetious or sarcastic. I thought an "lol" at the beginning of it would signal in that direction but thats on me . To be fully serious, I think we (society) in our actual dating situations , it is highly unlikely that "what do you bring to the table?" is a persons opening line to someone who they had an initial attraction to. I think the guys were inferring the question more in the social discourse context of men and women in the public forum of dating topics. I dont think a woman sits down and asks " So do you make 6 figures and have good benefits ? " either. The question really is " what qualities do you think you possess that a man would see you as an asset ?" Thats the podcast question . But I agree w/ everything you said

Words are useful when thoughtful. When having such discussions, I think it vital to lay out the ground rules for the platform. The ladies on the panel couldn't concede that the point of the panel was for the benefit of the majority which is obtained through generalization. Even if these ladies were celebrities which they aren't why would the questions be about their anecdotal opinions based on individual experiences. This was so disgusting I couldn’t even finish it. This infuriated me, as a black woman. Dating is hard enough for us. This just justified all the horrific stereotypes about black women. Nasty attitude, rude, disrespectful, masculine and aggressive. This set us back. I wonder how these individuals will feel about this video years from now. I’m ashamed for them, because they don’t have sense enough to be.

The reason it bothers many (not all) women is because once you ask WDYBTT. They can't waste your time getting free meals, shows, gifts and prizes. They want you to get to know them $lowly....vewy.. vewy...$lowwwwwly! It bu$ts the game they're tryingta play! But if they become offended....Usain Bolt em!!!

I think that they bring up a valid point, if you are being triggered by the question “ what do you bring to the table” you should self reflect. I think that accountability brings you many things, like the opportunity to leave the situation for one. The thing is it may not mean nothing to her because she may have attachment issues.
