not many people know that Bruce Lee and the real Kareem Abdul-Jabbar actually permanently fused into one person on the set of Game of Death. their height averaged out (7'2'' and 5'8'' perfectly average out to 6'5'') and their language skills combined.

At the end of the day this is a reaction channel. I would like to see them mix it up a bit. Like two black guys on a train or in a restaurant practicing their laguages. I think the reactions from Americans alone would be $$$ But I also wonder if he ever catches people off while they being rude or racist and thinking they have the privacy of their language?.. If he did then I can understand why he would not want to show those ones.. I imagine his responses to them would chill them to the bone. And would be for private viewing only.

2:10 - His encounter with this woman demonstrates why it is important to practice the language you are learning with native speakers. You see how she slightly corrects his pronunciation here on a couple of words. I make it a point to have conversations with native Mandarin speakers as often as I can so I can constantly be refining my pronunciation.

Most Chinese community use the common tongue which is mandarin, that’s why we call it “pu tong hua” literally translate as “the common words/communication” Cantonese is predominant dialect from the southern China, the language is a direct descendent of the branch of the Yue language family. The language is from Guangzhou itself, but popularized by Hong Kong especially through entertainment industry. Language is just not a language itself. When you speak the language, especially fluently, people will have the idea that you understand their culture, their background, this will bridge the gap. If you speak spanish, you will tremendously understand the spanish culture. Similarly, if you speak French, you will tremendously understand the French culture. That’s the power of language

When the waitress in the restaurant corrected the manager(?) it absolutely made my day. They seem like a really fun bunch with their banter.

Have to say, I'm very surprised no scientist or shows have asked to study your brain. You have to have special memory cells to take in so many different linguistic patterns.

Nahtcunnvinced no you don’t, anyone can do it. The only thing you need is desire. When I was a boy I met a man who could speak 80 languages, he was a totally regular guy.

Yeah I had a teacher who worked as a linguistic analyst for ASIO who was fluent and could read and write in 30 languages, and was passable in that many again, and while she was smart, she wasn't anything special, a normal white girl born in an English speaking family, and learnt all the languages as an adult

Been watching for months now, I also want to learn Russian, Nihongo and Mandarin but what I want to know is in what order? So far I know English, Filipino and Arabic because of my heritage and time spent in the middle-east. I wanted to learn those 3 because I have a feeling they will become useful to me one day since I am going to work for the foreign affairs of my government soon (and we are establishing ties with Russia, China and Japan). I have an interest in Spanish but I don't think I will learn it since Western/South Europe or the Americas is not a goal of mine.

Congrats on the move west. So you out there with your brother and wife? Def a change of scenery from OH. at least the plane trips to LA will be quick now that you are on the verge of blowing up mainstream. I’m telling you hit those talent agents up. All you need is one video to go viral and you’ll be on Ellen, the View, Today Show, etc.
