seems like a pretty lame voice if u ask me. i like to thing of it this way: either everything has meaning or nothing has meaning. there is no in between. art is not suddenly validated when someone notices and appreciates it. it is validated the moment it is created.

Well look at you only 4 months later with more than 8k subscribers! Great message - felt very much that pressure to create something special for my first video on KZread. It it ended up being about this very topic - just without the freakin haybale in the middle of Tennessee.

dude this is so real. for instance, my last videos haven't done near as well as this one did. i think what i'm learning is before moving forward, i have to make up in my mind why i'm doing this. if i'm truly doing it for me, views/plays should slowly matter less and less. but yeah it sucks when us creatives deliver a product that we think is incredible, and then it's met with crickets. all a part of the journey my friend 🤝🏼 p.s. if you start up that podcast again, send me the episode. i'd be happy to take a listen!

i'm so glad you pointed this out. i put "you are not what you create" at the end of almost every one of my videos. i think what you create is so intrinsically valuable, as i spoke of in the video, BUT (as the ending quote reminds) it is not who you are nor does it define you. it is a beautiful, necessary, wondrous extension of yourself, BUT it does not make up or dictate who you are. does that clear things up a bit?
