hello, in this video, we introduce what will happen if we disconnect input power when charging battery
if you are using the battery charging terminal of RD series power supply, turn off the input power, the power supply will be turned off
if you are using DPS/DPH/RK/ or RD power supply normal red output terminal to charge battery, when cut off the input power, the battery power will come back to power supply, light up the screen but will not damage the power supply itself, do not worry

    tldr: - when using battery output terminal it will switch off. - when using positive output terminal it will stay on.

    for RK6006, in our store, the case and input PSU are mounted together, called C400, not just case only

    This backfeeding is a really bizzare behaviour. This would mean that either the output tap is common to the internal electronics' power supply or that they have some weird kind of bypass inside to allow this functionality...

    Not necessarily. If they are using a FET to control the output, then when the supply power is removed, power could travel backwards through the FET's body diode to power to the device.

    @@michaelrcolton Not unless there is additional diodes or some kind of connection between the load power supply and the internal electronics power supply...

    @@ipr724 In a buck converter there is a FET between the supply and the output, when the supply is higher than the output, the FET's intrinsic diode (something that, I think, all FETs have by virtue of their construction) is reversed biased, but when the output is higher than the supply, the diode is forward biased and can conduct power.

    @@michaelrcolton Yeah this is exactly what I've said; this falls under the "the output tap is common to the internal electronics' power supply". Otherwise I don't see how it would power up the internal circuitry without additional components. Unless you have some other ideas?

    @@ipr724 I mean, clearly the internal electronics and the output get their power from the same place to begin with, how else would it work? I don't think such a small, inexpensive supply would have a fully isolated design, if that's what you mean. For the cost, it's a compromise in willing to live with...

    почему на экране нормальное подключение батареи - выделено красным цветом. как так? красный это "опасность", красный - это внимание. сделайте это "зеленым" зеленый цвет - это всегда "ок", зеленый - это " хорошо", зеленый - это все верно

    hello, it is the RD battery charging function, when no battery connected, it shows in white battery with blue background, when connect battery, blue turns to red, and start to charge battery, it becomes to green, you can check the battery charging function video to see how it works, it is used to remind you if the battery is well connected and if it is charging
