What Wheel Color to Choose ? 😂

Ғылым және технология

A handmade bicycle tire made out of hot glue gun sticks is an innovative and unique way to create a functional tire for a bicycle. The hot glue gun sticks are formed and shaped to resemble the tread of a traditional tire, providing the necessary traction and grip for riding on various surfaces.
The tire iare made by heating the hot glue gun sticks, and then molding them into 3d printed shape and size of the tire. This process requires a high degree of skill and precision, as the hot glue must be manipulated and formed quickly before it cools and hardens.
One unique feature of this handmade tire is the inclusion of RGB light. The light likely built-in the tire wall giving an colorful effect when it spins. This can create a visually striking effect, especially when the bike is ridden at night or in low-light conditions. This could also serve as an added safety feature, making the bike more visible to other vehicles and pedestrians.
Building a tire from hot glue gun sticks is a creative and challenging process, but the end result is a one-of-a-kind tire that can provide both functionality and aesthetic appeal. However, it may not be as durable as traditional tire and may not be suitable for rough terrain or extended use. It could be a perfect option for art bike or a short trip around the city.
Overall, a handmade bicycle tire made out of hot glue gun sticks with RGB light is a unique and innovative way to create a functional tire. It offers a visually striking effect while still providing the necessary traction and grip for riding a bike, but it is not recommended for heavy usage. It could be an interesting DIY project or an art installation.

Yeah. The only problem is that transparent tires wear so fast. The "black smoke" is what gives durability to tires but it makes impossible to color the tires. That's why all tires are black at least on the contacting area. It would be cool if someone came up with additives to rubber that are close to black smoke and allowing for color. It could be applied to all tires including car tires. It would really boost creativity on car design. Still very cool idea!

A bigger issue is I seriously doubt the durability of the seam where they just heated the tyre up and stuck it back together, and you've got no bead on the tyre (a tyre bead is a hooked part, often reinforced with metal, that clips under the rim to stop lateral forces rolling the tyre off the side of the wheel). Solid tyres like this do exist, but this isn't how you make them. I would be extremely surprised if that tyre stayed on that rim for more than a few weeks. One too sharp turn and you are losing that tyre.

Like any word that starts of with a granular use-case but has positive or negative feeling to it, they can degenerate into being used to simply mean something someone likes or doesn’t. I’m not a fan of it but it often happens. In this case the user did not like the question because they felt it was obviously irrelevant to practicality and wanted to express an insult due to their dislike for something obviously not having a long life being questioned. However , in my opinion it was a good question and asks specifically about traction quality itself and durability , which could have a more interesting answer than ‘he won’t use this again so what does it matter answer. The user who used the word Karen uses a perceived insult and then tries to resolve their assertion with an tone of an assumptive question🖲️

The wheel centre core would have been expensive to produce due to the type of oven needed and mould production costs being high . I have to ask with this being made by using a very uniform 3D printed mold, how would it not be uniform and balanced when the hot liquid is going to seek and find level before it has time to cool and set up? Everything you say you tried doesn't sound like it would be very uniform in spacing being add on/bolt on things. where this is uniform in length and symmetrical being on the underside of the rim without overlapping. Furthermore I don't believe he made this to market them I think he did it as a challenge to himself and a goal to see if he could come up with an idea to get it to work and to say hey look at these I'll bet you don't have tires like mine. Just more of a thing like when he finally made a set that actually worked to be able to say when asked, "Why" he can say why not and because I can, and then chuckle a little after saying it.
