Krasinski was trying to make Reynolds the new Drop Dead Fred

The marketing for 'If' was really confusing. Saw the trailer multiple times and I had no idea what it was supposed to be. That being said I feel like they missed a golden opportunity to remake 'Drop Dead Fred's with Ryan Reynolds as the titular character and Phoebe Cates reprising her role.

I kinda can't stand John Krasinski and unrationally take pleasure in him laying an egg here. But this schadenfreude will have a short shelf-life as he's about to clean up with A Quiet Place 37 (as much as I may hope we can stop this madness here and now by saying "no really, one was enough" in a few weeks). "From the imagination of John Krasinski" though, this cringe hyping of a filmmaker who has absolutely NO discernable characteristics other than being shamelessly derivative, pretty much validates my disdain for him. Anyone who has done so little to deserve it yet would still allow that to appear in the marketing has such poor judgment and sense of self that I now know for certain he'll never be for me.
