@@EZ-D-FIANT I've seen this before, I'm a mechanic for 15 years just to add it in like everyone else, this has happened due to the rubber doughnut on the shaft that's designed for vibration and resinance hold water under neeth it all around the shaft and causes corrosion to start that weakens the shaft in the spot on the shaft the the doughnut was. Look at the end of his shaft snapped exactly where the doughnut was. Jamie even picked the doughnut off the road when he broke it. It would have still been stuck on one half of the shaft if it broke else where. Moral of the story, when you buy a new shaft remove the rubber doughnut to prelong strength and life of the shaft or just get upgraded ones when your running 4x the power of factory haha

This is one of the best sleeper/not sleepers I've ever seen! Everyone expects a DC5 to be capable but not awd and packing supercar levels of power! Massive power to weight ratio and a sequential gearbox, a very exotic little monster! Just started watching so I'm not sure what's failed, maybe the VCS or a drive shaft? No matter, you're just shaking her down and every little set back is the path to a stronger, more reliable drive! Well done, fella!

Tbh I feel uncomfortable watching some of the drives on the road. I am a college tutor and some of the young guys I teach try to replicate what you do, maybe even worship you. Knowing your way around a car is one thing. There's a lot of responsibility that seemed to go out of the window in the shake down video, especially considering what was mentioned about some components, that's something that skill won't compensate for. I have no doubt that your a capable driver. Just stay 8/10 on the safe side. It did look squirelly. Hopefully the mods will help straighten it up. Absolute animal of a car, love the build.

For those of you who might not know, these driveshaft issues have been there in so many Hondas, its pretty either what happened to Jamie with the seal being corroded as the water sits behind the rubber slowly weakening that part by rusting over time. Civic Type R FN2 and EP3 suffer from the same, facebook groups are riddled with it. Honda Jazz owners reported same issues before. Wonder how these new Hondas do in a few years time with more wear and tear.

The man has a point I didn't consider, switching it to 4wd does distribute the power across the 4 shafts. With the upgrades, I cant wait for your next test drive the car should handle and manage the power much better.👍🏾

Hi Jamie, firstly I love the build looks crazy fast! I own a DC5 myself that sits at around the same ride hight as yours. I had a problem with bump steer as-well. I see you’re also using roll centre correction lower ball joints. Have you actually measured the bump steer? If not I would highly recommend you do. Inverting the tie-rods will in most applications make the bump steer considerably worse. They’re mostly beneficial for really low ride hight. I measured mine inverted and not inverted and it was 10x worse inverted. I understand that you also need the clearance but I really do think that it’ll make the bump steer no better if not worse. I have lowered my tie rods slightly by using rod-ends (around 5mm) and this has bought the bump steer to 0.5mm through full bump/rebound travel. The good thing about using rod-ends is you can space the tie rod at whatever position you need to dial in bump steer. Night and day difference when bump steer is correct. I hope this helps. Keep up the good work 👊🏻

I also noticed you aren't running a rear ARB. Is this due to the rear drive shafts being in the way of where the drop links would install into the rear trailing arms? Have you noticed any difference in the feel of the rear end driving or does the 4wd set up not make it feel much different? Loving the build its very interesting. Still working on my EP3 with suspension and control set up. Still to do anything power wise.
