The preacher at my church loves to have the little ones in service. No one even bats an eye anymore when he walks out into the congregation and picks up a baby and goes back to preaching. The babies always calm right down once he picks them up. He says the sounds of children in a service is proof that the church is alive.

Love when the leaders of churches get the kiddos involved some how. I think it makes for the kids to learn about our LORD!!
Lynette, I don’t know you and I’ve only ever left a comment or two on here and Instagram, but this video hit me squarely in my heart. The whole thing was my favorite, but my favorite FAVORITE was watching precious Oaklynn setting out the silverware. She put A LOT of thought into that, she took her task seriously, and when she wasn’t sure she made a decision and walked away satisfied. THAT tells you everything you need to know about that baby. She makes decisions with confidence. Fantastic job, mom and dad! ❤❤❤

@@Benjamin-jo4rfwhy are you watching it then? If you think it's wrong to vlog and share how different families go about the day and things done and all that, just why are you here in the first place to even see who is doing what...🤷♀️🤦♀️
You are teaching your children FAITHFULNESS to God's house even in their very young years, that's commendable.
I have never seen you with your hair down. I had no idea how long it is. It's beautiful! Also, the skirt you chose for church was really cute. I love the double ruffle at the bottom. Harper is so adorable, and she seems to love to smile. Oaklynn is growing up so fast and she is such a pretty young girl. I thoroughly enjoyed this video. Thanks for sharing your Sunday with us. I love to hear the singing at church.
What a blessing to go to church with you and hear the singing. I loved every bit of this video and I'm so happy to see you all in church and knowing you are teaching these young children the way to God.
When my son was maybe 3-4, I always felt like neither of us had gotten anything out of the service. And felt, like you, that I was "wrangling" him the whole time. But one time we were listening to a radio program and they were talking about a story from the book of Acts. And he said, "Hey...this is what we're studying on Sunday nights!" I decided it was worth it and we WERE getting something out of it!
Our hymn of the month for homeschool is Redeemed. It was such a fun surprise to hear your congregation singing it. 🙌
Hearing the family of God raising their voices in worship is such a beautiful sound! Like a glimpse of heaven! Thank you so much for sharing! I remember the days of having my babies with me in church. It could be a challenge to stay focused but I still cherish those chaotic early days when they were little. I felt a kinship with Mary, knowing she held Jesus on her knee at worship, too. Y'all are giving your children a firm foundation in the Lord & that is so wonderful & important! Savor these days when they are little. My girls are 22, 17 & 14-feels like I blinked & they are grown! Thank you again for sharing your Sunday with us. God bless y'all!!!🙏🏼❤️
I loved hearing the congregation singing in such beautiful harmony together worshipping God! You are absolutely doing right taking your kids to church! Teaching our children about God is the greatest gift we can ever give them! ❤
I love hearing the voices singing! What a blessing it is to see prayer over your food, Nick and the boys looking so handsome in their "dress up clothes" and you beautiful ladies! Thanks for taking us along on your Sunday. ❤
I grew up Catholic and was 1 of 5 siblings. My Mother often said she committed more sins in just getting us all ready for church than she did all week! LOL
Hi Lynn, you are certainly a busy girl but you are such a wonderful wife and mother, God Bless you and your beautiful family. I never realized how long your hair is and I have to say you are simply so pretty. I admire the way you take care of your home and your kiddo's and have the Lord in your life. I always brought my children to Church when they were younger and those are some of the best memories I have of their childhood. At the time, my husband worked for Publix and had to work on Sunday's so he was not able to attend Church with us so we starting going on Saturday evenings which worked out nice for us as a family. I always enjoy your video's and I have to tell you that your new home is decorated so lovely. All the best to you and your family. 💖
I love seeing your family together!! All your kids are growing up so fast!! Thanks for the recipes.
Always took my 3 sons to church. I remember my third had a very "loud" voice and I had to step out quite often. Now, he's 34 and still has a very deep voice and speaks loudly! Haha. Now I go to church alone, so embrace the season you are in, (I know you do).
That was a busy day!!! You held up so well!!! Great to see all the kids doing so well! Can't believe Oaklynn is already able to set the table!!! Harper is the most good natured baby! The boys are becoming young men!!! It is going by so fast.
I would have never guessed your hair to be that long, it is very pretty. It is so nice to see people going to church and having fellowship!
I remember those years with the littles, they’re being trained in the way they should go (Proverbs 22:6) 💕 You’re doing a great job!
Like others mentioned, ‘haystacks’ in my area are a sweet-salty treat. Upper Midwest (Michigan) here, so we fall into potluck/casserole territory. 😁 Butterscotch chips, chopped peanuts, and either potato sticks or crunchy chow mein noodles. Cheered by the congregational singing - I love singing the songs of our faith, especially with other believers. The joy of the Lord is our strength - keep pressing on!
We ate "hay stack" yesterday and I didn't know it was a actual thing. I told my husband we were having a "bowl of goodness" lol
Thank you Lynette for sharing your Sunday.
Love Harper’s spunky character starting to come out! Sunday nights the house is always a disaster here but it’s the result of a good day :) Our service are not as long but we do have two one in the morning and afternoon! Makes for a busy but joyful day! Loved the video!
I'm not Amish and grew up eating Haystacks. I was so tickled to hear you call it that. I haven't heard it called that in years. It's still one of my favorite meals. I enjoyed watching this video. That stage is hard to wrangle during church service, but I feel like they begin to pay attention and listen little by little as they grow.
My 5 yr old son walked in while I was watching this video and said "Are you watching Lynette's kids?". LOL he has become very familiar with the Yoder family in his short life LOL
I grew up in the Church of England and am intrigued to how other denominations worship, so this has been really interesting. Thank you for a lovely video.
Hi Lynette. My husbands family is Amish and Mennonite, and he has family in Sarasota as well. His parents left the Conservative Amish and went to a non denominational church. Blessed to see that you teaching you children you heritage with you own faith and conviction, it will never be in vain. Blessed by your videos, we may even be related.
I didn't know your hair was so long. It's amazing what kids learn while they are crawling around and listening.
Take advantage of as much exposure to church and it's activities as you can while the kids are young. Those are my sweetest memories growing up in a Christian family. No matter what happens, for a season, when they grow up, NO ONE can take that foundation away. They can ALWAYS fall back on it. So, YES, it's worth it!!!!! Just make sure it's ALWAYS a positive experience...nothing they can blame later on!!!! 😉 ❤
Growing up in an Anabaptist church, we went at 10 a.m., which had a Sunday school for the kids. Then I went home to eat lunch and went back for afternoon service at 3 pm(same as morning but no sunday school). Then he went home for dinner and came back for song service at 7 pm. Sang for 1.5 hours and had a "short" reading and service. By now, it's 9pm. Most people had many children, and we slept on the floor many times. Plus, half of the services were in Hungarian or serbian, and I only spoke Hungarian. But I wouldn't trade any of it. Sundays were and still are the best. We have changed it a bit, we now have song service right after the afternoon service, and it's only 1 hour and no more serbian or Hungarian.

Very interesting! I'm Hungarian as well and in my city of origin we haven't had an Anabaptist church. Interesting to read that Serbian people who are usually Christian Orthodox were part of an Anabaptist church. Minden jòt kivánok a távolbòl ☺

@MKI köszönöm. In Hungary, we are called Nazarene. There are quite a few churches left. I was born here in the USA, so I've only been a few times. But we have churches in Serbia, Romina, and Ukraine
Your an amazing mother great example it’s important to teach the little ones about there faith. I never realized how long your hair is beautiful!!
It was so awesome to see Oaklynn setting the table! The kids are growing up, Kaden is almost as tall as you! 🥰 😊
When I was a young mother in New Jersey I was home educating and my husband traveled much of the time. My Mennonite friends helped me so much! They taught me so many skills and I will have wonderful memories of those days! Many blessings to your family!❤❤❤
Loved this video about your family. I loved hearing the congregation singing the old hymns. You run a smooth household and are teaching the children so much and it shows. Keep your videos coming.
I grew up in the Mennonite Brethren Church. I always say that the Mennonites are the best singers. The hymns you all sang brought back such good memories. They don't sing hymns in most churches anymore and I miss that.
Lynette, I appreciate you so much! I love the way you are raising your little ones, and it just touched my heart so much to hear the congregational singing at your church. The haystacks look so good! I am going to have to make them for my family. I think we would all like them. I also love that your church allows the children to stay in the main sanctuary. More lessons are caught than taught, and I learned through raising our son that he picked up a LOT from hearing the preaching when I thought he was just playing on the floor and not listening. The Word of God was sinking in, and it shows now that he is older. I know it is hard to press through, but one day, your kids will look back on this foundation you are building and will appreciate their Godly mama who persevered through so much to raise them in the fear of the Lord. It is such a blessing that you share your life here. May the Lord richly bless you and always keep you close to His side. I hope you never change.🙏
Seeing oaklynn setting the table and Harper in the bath just made me smile and giggle! You have a precious family!!
Beautiful Sunday, Lynette!!
Bring your children up in the church is a really good thing for their spiritual walk. I've bought walnut creek foods though Mennonite stores really enjoyed them.
I loved the singing! Great video.
Thank you for sharing Lynette ❤

The hymn, Higher Ground, is one of my favorites! Enjoyed hearing everyone singing it.

You are so smart the way you guys are raising your children even though it's hard work you guys are a blessing to society wonderful role models for other young people God bless you guys
What a fun vlog Lyn!! Thanks for sharing your Sunday and recipes with us. 💞
Such a wonderful mom and family
As a Mennonite who grew up Mennonite, left the church, attended other churches that had children’s church or kids ministry, and now being back at a Mennonite church, it is such a blessing to have our children in the church service with us. Children are listening a lot more than we think they are and they learn a lot from the sermon. I believe they also benefit greatly from singing with the adults. Hymns especially stick with children throughout their lifetime. All this does not mean having children in the church service isn’t hard, it is, but it is very good for the children even if it doesn’t feel like it at the time. You’re doing great!
I loved this video so much! Thank you for the recipes!
It's amazing how your lovely family has grown!

I remember in one of your Holmes County videos you were visiting Walnut Creek Cheese and Nic was enjoying a Haystack from the 2nd floor food court. While visiting Holmes County last May, my friends and I made sure we went there to shop and also have Haystacks for lunch. It was so good! I have also made your recipe since that time.
Thank you for sharing with us. Loved seeing you put your hair up. I just twist my damp hair in a bun. Love that your little ones stay during service. God bless your family.
Love seeing your family grow sitting here in Kentucky,,,Blessings
What a great day. Harper has the best smile and seems so happy 😊. Your family puts a big smile on my face 😊
The singing was beautiful....
That was super sweet of you to share how you do Sundays! I struggle with Sundays simply because I’m called to rest but there always feels like so much to do. What are some of your tips for being ready for Sunday so that typically you’re able to rest?
What a precious time of your life. The boys are so handsome and growing up. I loved seeing Oaklynn setting the table so confidently! Lovely family! It’s easy to see you love what you do.
