This is a prime example of why this group of channels need to put the production date in the description if not the title. This was made in 1998. 25 years of research has advanced the collective understanding of the site a very great deal.

Modern archeology shows that Stonehenge may have in fact been moved. The original location of the henge may well have been in Ireland. The stones may have been so important they themselves were moved. People after the time of the Romans couldn't fathom how such large stones could have been moved due to recessing into the dark ages so tales of magic arose to account for the wonders found in the ruins of the Roman Empire around them. Fascinating story all around. Britain is the home of so much amazing history. Don't even get me started on Doggerland!

4:05 No! It's already been extensively documented Stonehenge is the same a (1st Mother Temple) also the same as the (Hindu Langham) and the outlining Stonehenge structure can be seen in Ancient Greek Market place structure. I highly suggest you add this (New information) to reflect this in this documentary. J.Terran author of ANCIENT MYSTERIES REVEALED.

All I know is I've physically been to Stonehenge and It's smaller than I expected, same with the pyramids of Giza, impressive but somehow these things look a lot bigger on programmes about them than in real life. Just saying

I am of the opinion that the blue stones were brought from south Wales, despite there being building stone available closer to Stonehenge, because they were a donation to the construction from the people of south Wales. Of course there might also be some meaning in the composition of those blue stones.

Why speculate that extraterrestrials built or helped to build Stonehenge? Because that only brings you back to the questions of meaning and purpose. Of what possible use could an arrangement of stones on Earth have had for the extraterrestrials?

Stonehenge, is just a clock to count the days. all the clues are in front of you. After the ice age and with the increase in population you have to start thinking about structure and for that you have to start doing business, doing things, for that you need time, the control over time, Stonehenge is the monument of that. The control over time was a monumental event for man. everything the whole civilization created depended on control over time, without this clarity nothing can be organized, the clock (Stonehenge and other similar constructions) were the center of these civilizations everything revolved around planning and the right time.

Stonehenge was a place of worshipping a very Evil pagan god the Blood god a vampire and the French were also building mini Stonehenge’s and all over the British island they have found smaller versions of Stonehenge but the Stonehenge that we see in books and movies was the main gathering place for worship and blood sacrifices for the Blood god a vampire. It sounds crazy but it’s true.

Impressive documentary but the dates all seem to have been displaced forward by about six hundred years. I always thought the place went out of active use around 1600 BC not 1040 BC. Considering that Stonehenge is one of the most studied prehistoric places in the country, there are too many unknowns and archaeologist Dr Julie Gardener in the documentary has fallen into one of the two camps in her interpretation of the archaeological evidence by adopting the 'We don't know' stance, which can sometimes be stressed with such emphasis that the following statement is stated, 'We cannot know, there's no way of knowing', which unfortunately acts to close down any further enquiry. The second position is the certainty stance held by archaeologists such as Mike Parker Pearson and his disciples, where a dubious theory is proclaimed out of variable evidence and suddenly it is accepted as the voice of authority. Both are wrong in my view. I am sure that there are enough dots left scattered about within and outside the perimeter of Stonehenge to be joined up for a reasonable theory of the purpose of Stonehenge in all its phases, its relationship to the rest of the country during the neolithic, to be developed with confidence
