I fixed up a Mossberg 930 because my friend went hunting and it jammed up on him and he took everything apart and doesn't know how to put it back together and I gave him 2 options either I buy it or he pay me some money to put it back together and he paid me to put it back together and cleaned it up.

Looks like your missing the corncob for stock and its retaining screw. I bought a Savage 340 and Remington 742 number of years back. Completely in pieces. Owner SWORE ALL PARTS WAS THERE! (NOPE!) Price was right was buying a Dillon 550, THAT was complete. 😂 The Remington was 98% there the Savage was only about 50%. But after a couple years looking I was able to buy all parts for about 75/80$. Good luck!!

It would be a Great try for Gun Broker, I just purchased 1952 featherlight 16 gauge, complete. It is not What people would call perfect, But Perfect for me and My collection. You have your work ahead of you, But You can do it If the parts are not trashed. Good luck sir. It will be a challenge, but all Great Things are always a challenge.

What the what?! That last owner messed that up real good. 😮 The only new shotgun I ever had was a .410. Most of my guns are hand me downs like the 10/22. Try some Slahhh' uggs on Wile E . I usually get parts from Brownells.

My dad is the owner of a Model 37 in 20 gauge with a 28 inch and was the first pump action shotgun I've ever fired. Funny enough, it was my grandmother's to skeet shoot along side my grandfather. I enjoyed the design so much that I've been thinking of buying a 12 gauge receiver and just piecing one of these together. I'm curious as to how compatible modern Ithaca 37's are with 70's vintage (I'll be looking for a receiver similar Era to my father's). I know in '63 they changed the barrel threads so any post '63 receiver can take a newly manufactured barrel (according to Ithaca themselves). I also know that until '74 they were slamfire capable, so finding the correct parts for that capability would be nice. I wish you luck in your journey, Model 37s are beautiful classic shotguns. I hope you get to shoot it one day.

I completely agree. What kind of moron lets such a beautiful and iconic firearm get in such disrepair. They are absolutely wonderful shot guns. I owned a 20 ga for many years. I sorely regret selling it and have kept an eye out for one ever since.

Jesse, those Ithaca 37's were "Classic Kings" of the pump action shotgun world before the Remington 870 came along, they were really popular with police back in the day, there were "Pre-Disconnector Models & Post-Disconnector Models", PRE Models could be fired faster by holding the trigger and operating the pump alone, POST model required a trigger reset before next firing from what I recall, they worked a little differently, so check that. They were still available new a few years ago , I'm not sure about today's availability. They were way over $1000 most recently which is part of the reason you don't see them often anymore. They were still really popular with hunters etc. into the 80's then faded away.

I just found your video on the Ithaca 37. I am well versed on the 37 and have and have had many of them. I can identify all your parts in your plastic bag. I’ve never seen one in such a disarray as yours. Makes me sad that someone destroyed that. These guns were hand built back when other pump guns were mostly stamped parts. You can go online if you haven’t yet and find a parts break down on this gun. Thanks for the video and good luck! Best pump shot gun ever!
