Ping was perfectly fitted. Proper cheating stick, if it aint broke, dont try to fix it.

Gaz, you're a smart cookie, you call it the cheating stick for a reason and it's brought you some proper scores in the last year. Just forget about trying to change it. Shout out to Sam for the ping fitting as well 😎

Best advice I was ever given... When you find that one driver that's a sole mate just don't change it, or never sell it ! This guy seems to want to prove he can reinvent the wheel tbh 😮

I had a shaft fitting with Ross , it was a great experience and I've really benefited from it ....Handicap down from 3.5 to 2 😃

Wise move Gaz to stick with the Ping! Wonderful what weights and shaft stiffness differences make to your strike though. Great fitting video👍🏼⛳️🏌🏼‍♂️

Un biased and a true to your word review right there Gaz!!! Well done!!!

Ross is a top bloke and very fair, you can pay your fitting fee, and as with you, Gaz, he put everything against the Ping. So you have the numbers and data to back it up, and I think it's the best way to look at a new product, what £100-150 as a fitting over £550 on a new toy that you have no real idea if it's better. Enjoyed the video.

Best outcome. Why is everyone on YT trying to justify not choosing the Ping. Some are even having head to heads without an apples v apples setup. (Do they not pay similar 😂) It was sound of the G425 why you should play a cally or TM, it’s turbulators are off putting, to choose titleist. Ping just flat out performs, what is it people don’t think it’s brand is sexy enough in the “bag show” stakes? Be interesting to see a in depth fit with the 10k v the standard G430 max. But you’d probs need to drop to 9deg on the 10k to match launch and they have a UK shortage of them. Mine not due until June 🙈

Great video and loving watching Ross fit people…..so knowledgeable! Curious, I see some people say qi10 standard is a low spinning head and others high spinning head, just curious Ross, do you think it’s lower spin than stealth and stealth 2 or higher than those heads? Also, I thought standard head weight for qi10 is d4, did you configure it with back weight to be d1?

I think it's a little bit higher than previous models from what I've seen but in all honesty I haven't done a spec for spec head to head test of them. And swing weight wise it would have been the length difference rather than me changing the headweight that reduced the swingweight. Most stock off the shelf come around D6 now which is mad

I'm up there this month for irons. I'm so excited to see what I get and how it helps

You’ve got to keep the ping mate.

Why not try the 10k? It’s lower spinning then the max but also crazy forgiving. It’s a crazy driver.

Been looking forward to this video. I got fitted by Ross for my driver. Excellent at what he does. For me way more consistent with it

I had to replace my PXG Gen1 0811 driver this summer as the face was cracking..... I bought the same head 2nd hand to replace it for 100 quid (I'd already upgrade the shaft in a fitting to a Tour AD 😉). I tried the Gen 4 and Gen 5 versions recently and I couldn't see much difference. I need to get some numbers to prove it but the confidence I have with the older model and any minimal gains that might be available make it unlikely I'll change.... That said, I'd love to see what the Qi 10 has to offer 😆. I'm surprised that when you lofted down, which opens the face, you tended more towards a draw🤔.

Feel for the fitter as he clocked pretty early that the QI10 wasn't the head for you!

should of tried 10k max ping with him, its meant to be low spinning compared to regular g430 max, as it sits between last g430 and the max. You might of been able to keep the forgiveness, familiarity and cheating stick but gained the few yards you were looking for ?

Wasn’t the test flawed from the start - as your ping has a 45 1/2 inch shaft but the ones you were trying were 45 inch (as the fitter didn’t have a longer one in stock)…?

Would of loved to see him do a full fit with other heads for a 4 hour drive

Shaft length killed him… I think the extra shaft length helped the ping fade , it’s known as you go shorter it becomes easier to square the face or even close it .. shorter means faster face closure

You could also argue that the longer shaft helps with the path being more in to out though.

5 yards on a course is feck all its just noticeable at all your not loosing out as the std deviations will all overlap over time 👍

I don’t think you should have been put in a shorter shaft

Only problem with Ping is the stock shafts, they are rubbish

QI 10 max is a spin machine no good for you gaz
