You’ll have a great time
We are entering the area through the port at Castellon, is the old town in Peniscola the prettiest town to stroll, shop and enjoy meals? Do we have to hike up to the Luna Castle to enjoy the cobble stone streets with the white washed buildings? Is there a place closer to the port that you'd recommend for enjoying streets like you featured in this video? We wanted to keep this port a low-key day but we love strolling around beautiful old towns. We will arrive in mid-April, 2024.

To get to the old town, you’ll have to walk up towards the castle. The areas closer to the port or outside will be newer construction
What is the best time of the year to head to Peniscola for a week? I'll be flying in from the USA.

I’d check it out during some nice weather. Similar to Barcelona, May and October are great months
