Let me put it this way. If you're afraid of looking at people while singing, you're not ready to lead them. Now we can't be mechanic at any of these instructions. If it's not coming out naturally, you're being a performer, not a worshipper. Now, regarding using the Word in worship, it's a powerful tool because Ephesians 6 says it's our sword in our spiritual armor, so we are hitting the enemy in the spirit, neutralizing his devices to disconnect the people from God's presence .
