How do you open your worship sets? What would you add to this list?

For the most part, I reckon I do this here “WALK” method, & just didn’t know it- “stand *as* you’re able” is what I say, is the only tiny difference in that… I mention something praiseworthy-a blessing everyone can count, & sometimes I’ll have everybody *shake off any funk from the week* off heh.., The only bummer really though is that we are experiencing a “valley of dry bones” situation, especially when it comes to our praise and worship, and my church family’s green timid and our (just finished first year) new-ish Pastor seems to be more interested in sticking exactly to the bulletin and it’s felt like we’ve stifled the spirit so many times 🤦‍♀️… I don’t want to cause trouble but Moore than that I do not want to ignore the Spirit’s leasing anymore… 😮‍💨 it’sa tricky situation😬👀

That’s a great question! I would likely start with a prayer or encourage the congregation to set their focus and attention on Jesus. It’s important whether it’s a slow or fast song to remember that you’re setting the tone. And if the tone is slow or prayerful, you’re communicating to the congregation that you want them to join you on that space. Does that help?

I don't think you need to specifically say Let us all stand if you are able? I mean they could decide for themselves if they able to stand right? there are people who are in wheelchairs and they attend the church, saying that might attract attention to them, not sure if I'm getting my point accross, i'm not that good in english 😂

Saying let's stand if you're able is language that lets those who may not be able to stand in the moment (a parent holding a crying child for example) know there is no pressure for them to stand if they can't. It's what I choose to say but you can say whatever you want 😂
