Been a ramp agent for a small airport in Los Angeles for 9 months and I love it.
Super nervous about my first day tomorrow. This video made me feel better.
I can't wait to be a Ramp agent. It's right up my alley!
tbh this made me feel a little better & I appreciate you for making this💯💜im down for the support🤟🏾
Love the positive energy, can’t wait to start. Looking forward to it
Thanks for the tips/tricks, bro. I've enjoyed watching your other videos too.
thanks!! was really awesome to see how you worked on the breeze aircraft!
I'm starting as a ramp agent in 2 weeks and this put a couple of my worries to rest
Damn bro, your ATS station looks like it runs so much more smoothly than ours. The ATS I work for is so god damn unorganized that half of the ramp agents are walking around trying to find their crew. Crews are supposed to be random but half the poas only take their friends which creates a bunch of sitting ramp agents with no idea where to go. You'd think the direct supervisors would do something about it but nope, they care more about socializing. Just had a supervisor laugh at a trainee when she couldn't find the assigned poa (poa in question called out).
Good tips bro. I'm a ramp agent at Menzies Aviation. However, when we bring in Korean Airlines, they always have an airline staff follow us to the carousel to make sure we don't throw the bags onto the conveyor. Of course, this delays flights offloading close to a hundred bags sometimes, especially when I'm the only runner.
Thanks for sharing
Nice tip about the App 👍
Thank you bro I just got hired this my 2nd week 💀
I start after my cruise in 2 weeks 💪🏽 def needed this

I use to be a FA too. I’m starting ramp 2/5 for AA
i was hired as a ramp agent 2 months ago I was always in the pit, now i dont even step inside because i was promoted to lead and fully certified to push the planes
Probably a dumb question, but do they provide all the equipment you mentioned and can you choose certain equipment to have? And right now, I’ma permanent substitute teacher during 9 months out of the year and give myself a little break in the summer time but I feel like it’s great money to be made and I love being outside. On a scale from 1-10, how highly would you recommend applying? And how long is training usually? Great video

It may be different depending on the company ik they at least have hearing protection and vest
So did you have to learn all the abbreviation codes for the Airlines?
can you be a ramp agent with a g1 here in Canada thats the license that lets you drive like a learner's permit and you have the physical license card?
What is the work schedule like? Do ramp agents typically work mornings, afternoons, evenings, nights? Is there a set schedule?
@TTMiles2

The schedule really differs it goes off of operational needs so many stations are different but me personally I work mornings

Do you know the link to apply for delta ramp agents?
So that explains why the spinner wheels are always broken off...dude THROWING the bag onto the baggage claim belt at the end
Did the job suggest and train you on the app?
I have never heard of a push back. Don't the planes back up themselves too?
Is there any chance i can work there? I am from Philippines. I have a background in aviation industry.

if you have legal documents that can make you eligible for employment here in the U.S. .. then there's a high chance for you to work here ..
They don’t offer equipment?
And you did this do you have to go to headquarters you get training
how do you get by with sneakers... aren't safety boots mandated?

@@Shad_2k yeah, but in my defense it happened with in the first two weeks of being on the ramp. I'm much more aware of my foot placement after 10 months of being out there. Plus our ramps now aren't manual, their electric

Gym shoes are not recommended in my opinion. Consider the women whose foot practically got cut off due to wearing gym shoes when her tub and another tub collided on the ramp. Having boots would have minimized the injury greatly.
What is the down time between flights you have to load and unload? Or is it one flight after another?
@shqiptari1699
Жыл бұрын
Most of the time you offload the plane then load it straight after for new passengers to board, sometimes there is a gap so you can rest/relax for 30min etc depending on departure times. if it’s a late final plane that comes in you just offload. On average I do about 3 planes a day. It will never be back to back to back of loading/offloading.
This looks like a decent career I’m considering it?
@KaiOz

it's decent .. try getting a job for an airline ..
@princessmari5063

Not a career. It is a stepping stone. You will learn a lot. But don't look at it as your final destination. Lots of personal risk on the ramp. Aim high my friend. Lots of room for growth in the airline industry.

Do you just focus on one airline or several airlines

@mikelylesstudios

Sounds like multiple airlines. I’m assuming he’s gaining the experience as a contractor so that he can eventually go to a mainline airline although it is not required that you have prior experience to work for a mainline although helpful.
Yo is it true that you have to have customers service experience?
@mikelylesstudios
10 ай бұрын
It’s not required but helpful. You do however deal with customers to some degree especially when entering the jet bridge to place bags, strollers, wheelchairs and pets, etc. Sometimes you enter the planes to communicate with passengers that have pets but this is on occasions. I’m not a ramp agent but I did train before realizing it wasn’t for me thus resigning.
Please can I add my my own tip ? NEVER work without safety shoes at the airport.

true. the steel toes slow u down. but i think its only for clumsy mfs

Steel toes are bad in winter because it makes your feet even colder or freezing due to the steel but nonetheless it is safe.
Stopped watching after the intro. How annoying.
