That view of his truck at 11AM is the exception, not the rule. Don't be misled. UPS all around me are routinely out til 7-8PM and later. Even dispatching at 830/9AM running out with 200-250 stops a day with a massive chunk of rural to boot. It's brutal.

I’m an Amazon driver (Carle Place NY, Long Island). I usually get between 300 and 350 packages a day (sometimes close to 400) because I’m so good at the job. My routes are always very tight with the stops being very close together. Long Island is home to eight million people so I’m never delivering in rural areas. I usually get to my route at noon and I deliver until about 7:00 o’clock. If I have a lighter day I can finish earlier than that. I usually get between 240 and 280 different locations on a route. I usually have a very heavy workload. Long Island is also very congested so I’m usually in terrible traffic, even on Sundays. I started in November 2023 after I lost my previous job as a coach cleaner for Metro North Railroad. I found something I’m very good at and I have no plans on leaving anytime soon.
Great video! You got a good upbeat attitude about life, I can tell. Same here, I like to get after it every day as good as I can and keep my chin up. Stay well bro.

I did a rural route for FedEx ground in Nebraska in 2020. It's nice to see others doing the dusty grind. I knew the UPS guy too. We were cool, but he was definitely burned out and had a limp. This is a great video, I'm currently an Amazon driver and considering i'll probably never be able to retire driving for Amazon I've been looking into ups full time driving and found out they make really good pay and have great benefits. After doing much reading on Google without actually watching any videos about driving for UPS, I was at the very least intimidated lol. This video is reassuring that it's not too much different than driving for Amazon minus different procedures and rules that you guys have to go through, other than that though I'm excited to make the transition here in about a year-and-a-half. Hopefully I don't have to start off in the warehouse, I've been reading about that as well, would much rather start up as a part-time driver, but whatever I have to get through in the beginning to become a full-time driver I figure it's worth it. Thanks again for the great video and keep up the content, love to see more

@@Randywithups2 oh that would be awesome, you’re the best! Have a safe day out there.
How do I improve my chances of switching from FedEx to UPS? Do they have a 4 day work week option? Do they have part time driver positions?
I drive for Amazon and it’s pretty similar to this. But we have to call, text, call the customer if the business is closed or if we have a problem delivering to a house. It’s annoying. Also we have cameras in our vans watching us at all times. It sucks. Heard ups pays better but is hard to get hired by them. Imma try my luck and hopefully be driving for them soon.
Does the diod provide stop to stop map and directions? Or do you need to memorize your route? Do they dispatch you to other routes?
Retired 5 years ago from UPS after 30 years, it was a great job with great benefits and now I am enjoying my pension! Take care of your body so you can still have fun when this is just a memory..
How do you sort your truck? Does the scanner have the gps stops for you or is it all memorized?
Hi, if you deliver items to apartments, do you must deliver them to the door or you can just drop them on the front office?
When driving to different residential and commercial areas what kind of gps is used? Do you just look up the address on your phone and use a maps app? Or is there a specific gps system?
Awe yes the beautiful post office route everyone wants😂

How do you know what package goes to where and the order with that load so tight in the back. Might be stupid question but I’m in the hiring process.
I recently accepted a full time position for a package car driver. Are these trucks difficult to handle?
What is the earliest yall can start
Did you have to work at the warehouse before you got the delivery driver position or did you get hired for that spot.
What’s your top pay ? After how many years ? And do you get medical benefits for part time positions as well ?
This is great! I may be coming from active duty.. is there still a long process to become a driver?
How do you know where on your truck to find the exact package you need?
How many hours per day and per week is normal? Also is it just Mon through Fri? Hours universal across the country or specific regions?
I’m surprised you don’t get fired ! In my center if they see that we have videos of inside the truck with peoples personal info That’s it for a driver. Good luck!
Do you have to start from the warehouse before becoming a driver or a feeder?
What time do you start working? And until what time?
