I am going tomorrow. I am excited to get this over and done. It's been on my list of things that my GP says needs to be checked off since I turned 50. After this I will find a good urologist and check that exam off too. I know it is uncomfortable but so is dying so Don't let the awkwardness of it all disued you. Get it done

@terrancelee5817 and just as a follow up the procedure was a breeze. Zero embarrassment. The specialist who do this are completely desensitized to it. 30 min and done recovery is just a few hours.

They found a small polyp, and it was benign. The procedure was a breeze and I am so glad I did it. I have to go back in five years but I’m definitely taking this as a sign to do health checks and screenings more often.

I haven’t had a colonoscopy since I had a colon resection 23 years ago because I’m scared to death they will perforate my colon since I’m missing about 9” of it and it’s hooked up differently than everyone else’s, I just can’t take that chance!

I have what is known as redundant colon. I have heard that the scope used for colonoscopy is not long enough to scope a person’s colon for someone who has redundant colon. Should I sign up for both a colonoscopy and a CT scan.

Having one in 33 days. My concerns are what’s going to happen to me while I’m under anesthesia. Since I have no control over what’s done to me. Because anything can happen while you’re out.

This is true, they asked my wife to have one in hospital, she’s had one a couple of years ago without any sedation and vowed never again, she told them she wouldn’t have the procedure without being knocked out, they refused point blank and so did she to the procedure, they warned her of the consequences of NOT having it and her reply was I’ll take my chance and that was that.
