I'm Steph, wife of John & mom of 4 living on a 5th generation homestead. My husband's great-grandparents bought this farm in rural Missouri in 1942. My husband was supposed to take the farm over after high school - but he decided to go a different direction and moved out on his own. At that time he said he'd never get married or have kids. But here we are - 4 kids later and back on the farm. I grew up in town - so farm life has been a new adventure for me and I absolutely love it. I'm learning as I go and opting out of as many broken systems as I can along the way. We've lived here almost five years now, we homeschool our kids here, raise and grow more of our own food all the time, and our last baby was even born here on the farm - my first home birth. Learn with me as I share glimpses into our life on the farm.

Can you crack an egg & show us what it looks like after it's been stored 8 months? Also, how long will fresh eggs last in the fridge? Thank you. Glad you're making videos again.
Another option is to scramble the eggs very very well and dehydrate them and store in air tight container or mylar bags
You are spot on... it's time to stock up. There is a food shortage coming. It's a matter of time and time is short. Good that you are preparing. Love your channel!
Clear instructions with a whole lotta important information, thank you! Sharin' this one, too. 💞~👵
I heard videos about the chicken feed being contaminated causing the chickens not to lay eggs until they switched the brand of feed that they were giving their chickens
I love your explanations!! Such great info!!!!!!
Great video, very informative can’t wait to try this someday!
Thanks so much! Just found your channel. So informative!
Loved this video!! Please make more :)
Thank you so much for sharing that I can make up the solution, put a few eggs in and then add to it as I gather more clean unwashed eggs! That is the question I could not find the answer to! Thank you for clearing that up and also what lime is vs sodium silica, etc. Great tips!
So interesting! Thank you for sharing!
I just love your videos! ❤️ Such a truly kind soul and that’s so rare nowadays!❤️

Thank you! ❤️
I just watched this ..in Ontario Canada we pay $4 a dozen for eggs!
Wait!? You can just add a few at a time!? Genius. We have 24 chickens and they all will be laying soon. Definitely doing this
So when you go to eat these, just open it up and grab however many eggs, wash them, prepare as usual? The leftover eggs just leave in and use as needed?

I love your channel !! You explain the steps n pros n cons so well detailed! ❤ I would love to have hens. Do u have a video that can explain how to start with this project ? Plz, thank u so much !
Its always good to be prepared😘the egg and chicken price inflation was due to avian flu. Now it's gone down and prices are coming down as chickens are getting better and flocks increasing. But we never know the future. So always be prepared with basic things😘
if you are in europe it is possible to do it with store bought eggs as it is not allowed for them to wash eggs :)
New watcher. Do you know how to make softener for our clothes dried on the clothes line
Hi steph, how do i find out what my zone is for growing chickens.
Great info! Thanks so much for sharing.
you can use sand paper on your dirty eggs
Where did you get all your big glass jars?
Question. Have a dehydrator but has grates, nothing solid. Is there a good way to maybe set in parchment paper or something to hold em without spilling
I didn't see you stir the lime once you added the water an ..when you use these stored egg they are still ablesd to cooked an mixed with other ingredients
Does the eggs change taste after being stored? Consistency? Just curious.
Thanks for the info, just come across your channel! Have this question: Once the eggs in a container of lime water are gone, CAN we just use the same lime water for storing more eggs OR do I need to make new lime water? Thanks😊

I have yet to see anyone mention this, but I have been wondering as well.
My eggs have like a jelly film on the top of the water is that ok? I have had them in there for more than 6 months because I wanted to experiment.
Can you still use eggs that are 4 days old in water glassing?
Everything was much cheaper let’s say 4 years ago -life was better then as well! TDS is killing this country
