In 2018 I had an emergency c section, because my water broke at home, I was rushed to the hospital, I was examined, I had no contractions and 19 hours later, my baby's heartbeat started slowing down! After he was delivered, he was rushed to the NICU, and had to remain there for nine days, because he got infected! I'm so grateful that my baby is alive! I was scared, because he is my first baby, and this was not how I imagined things would have turned out! Sometimes we don't always get the best care when it comes to pregnancy and delivering of our babies! Thanks to you guys for sharing your experiences with expectant moms!

I am currently pregnant with baby #4. I will immediately go to the hospital now because With my 2nd, My water broke at 236 ish am. I got my bag to put in the car and felt fine. The hospital was an hour and 20 minutes away but as we were in the car, my contractions came on HARD and FAST. By the time we were 10 minutes from the hospital, I told my husband to go to any near by hospital at that point. I couldn't take the pain anymore. He had gotten lost so it took over an hour and a half to 2 hours to get to the hospital. By the time we got to the ER, I couldn't walk 2 feet without another contraction happening. I had to be wheeled to L&D. I got up the L&D after roughly 5 minutes of arrival and had her within 5 more after that. I went from an 8 to a 10 in those 5 minutes. She shot out. I had her at 413am.

This video helped me so much today. Just found out my water broke it's slowly leaking. I'm making the decisions to stay home and wait on active labor.

Wow :0 mine took 13 hours after my water broke 😂

I had my son 12 years ago. 36+6 weeks, preterm water breakage. No one did a vaginal exam, thank god, they just asked for my pad, which was drenched in amnotic fluid. After 12 hours since symtoms started, I developed a high fever! At the same time, labor started, and 5 hours later, my son was born healthy.

So informative. My goodness I had so many exams and things with my first baby ended up with an emergency c section and wound sepsis. Really trying to get all the information to have a more positive experience this time.

I'll share my story for statistics. I just gave birth a week ago. My water started leaking "unnoticeably" a week before, BUT it wasn't leaking per se but I just saw white discharge (probably vernix) when I peed. I couldn't understand why... Then my waters started to leak (enough to wet my pants, 1-2 tablespoons easily) and then I saw that white discharge and realized it was amniotic fluid. The leaking was pretty constant, and I was wondering if labor will start in time. I only had a random light contraction every few hours at that point, could even be Braxton-Hicks. 25 hours later at night, more regular contractions began, and I was super happy that labor has started. 8 hours later baby was born. All is perfectly well. So mine took 25 hours between the leaking and onset of labor. (Even though some tiny leaking started even earlier.) I probably leaked out 2 glasses or so in that 25 hours. Also, water never "broke" during labor, once the head was blocking the way. And I never heard any loud "pop" :) Videos like this are helpful to wait and see. Oh, and it was a home birth. Baby #2. With baby #1 contractions came first.

I’m glad the midwife at the hospital I go to, just checked my pad to confirm my water broken not vaginal exam and mentioned after 24 h the risk of infection goes high so they consider induction drips

I had so many of the less chances with my first lol. My water was broken for 4 days (wouldn’t let them do any cervical checks, that’s what truly increases the chance of infection) and she came on her due date lol. Thanks for this video! Due with #2 soon!

Wow mine for 36 hrs before contractions started… but it ended up being a c section… his heart was dropping and doctors were very impatient with me as i refused many times to be induced.

I’m that 1/3 of women who’s water breaks so casually and I continue with my day 😅😅

I'm 39weeks gone and a first time mum, and my EDD is 20th October. But for the past 1week, I have been having this serious stomach pain at night that I have visited the hospital 3times. First time I visited, the nurse that was duty checked me that morning and said I was 1cm dilated that I should go and bring my bags, the pain continued that I had to go back at night, they checked me again and said I was 2cm dilated, and they admitted me, and said since the is there, that when doctor comes in the morning he will induce me so I could dilate fast but I never accepted the idea of being induced so when Doctor came in the morning, the pain was gone totally, I told him I want to go home, he took me to the labour room and went and checked me me and said it was not labour that I can go home. Since then, I keep having the pain, only yesterday that I didn't hear it. So I don't know what is wrong, it's always from 6pm that the pain normally start till morning but no show at all, no water breaking. Please I really need advice here. Bcs when I go to the hospital, all they talk is to induce me, without telling me what is wrong and I don't want to be induced and I also want a normal natural labour. So help me God.

I had my water break with my 1st and it took 13 hours before I gave birth... When you go to the hospital they don't allow you to drink or eat anything. So make sure you eat before you actually head to the hospital whenever that is decided. You can tell you're close to labor because the contractions will get worse as about 3-4 hours have passed.

My waters have just broken! I am 35+5 it's nearly midnight waiting for a call back from the midwife I'm British so midwife has a bit of a different meaning. I have a big baby I have gestational diabetes. My last 2 baby's my water broke on the school run!! At least I was at home this time anyway. I thought I was having bladder issues because this is my 4th baby and I have been having bladder issues allready. Wish me luck guys ❤️🙏

I definitely heard a pop! I was three weeks early and sitting in my couch. I stood up so fast and I didn’t get ANY on my couch. Water breaking was the first sign for my first two. Not my third.

What do you mean for a big pop? Sorry for the silly question I’m at my first one and is all new for me ahahah

I made the small statistic for this with my first. My water broke, I didn’t have contractions at all. Pitocin was administered. 28 hours of an attempt no medication natural birth I only dilated to a 3. I spiked a fever and my son became stressed as well. I had an emergency C-section.

Here I am just got to 33 weeks and my water broke last night 😭. I am not in labor and they are hoping she will wait a full week to be born. I'm so stressed. This is my first pregnancy.

I'm 40 weeks and went shopping and my plug came out. Then my waters broke. I went straight to hospital and have been in a room since then to see if my labour contractions start, which so far they haven't... so have to be inducted.. This is my second pregnancy and this is the forst time my waters have broken. Clear colour, doesnt smell. But leaks alot. Abit annoying that bit... Good luck to all momma's!!

My water was continuously coming out and it was pink like bloody show. My provider wasn't concerned, but what could it mean with there's blood?

What would you recommend if one it GBS positive and water breaks? My ob/gyn said even if I don’t have it this time around because I tested positive in my earlier stages and was treated by antibiotics that is protocol to give medication before birth. Please advise

CDC recommends antibiotics in labor for anyone who has tested GBS positive. This is especially true if you had GBS UTI in pregnancy. Be sure to talk with your dr about this recommendation.

5:09 Imagine you water broke and you're like...you know what i'm feeling kinda frisky XD WHO! - Strangely enough, when my water broke i wasn't leaking much. It was an initial pop and some water came out, and then i feel like my son's head was just blocking everything. Once he came out, a massive tidal wave followed.

I was 8 wrk pregnant n my water had broke in my 37 weeks was almost 40 wrk .

It depends on which test you’re looking at. Your blood type can be B+ which has nothing to do with group b strep

Did you know you could deliver your baby IN the bag of water? You don't have to have that intervention to deliver :)

With my first my water broke before I went into labor. I had no warning signs it just broke out of nowhere and then contractions started slowly. I’m currently 36 weeks with my second and I think I’ve been leaking amniotic fluid as my discharge got watery about a week ago and baby has been dropped for a few weeks now

It's not safe to be alone at home. You risk a chance of infection, bleeding out, and improperly stitched back up. Not to mention baby cord has to be properly cut or you could kill the child...

With my previous pregnancy in 2019, I PPROMED at 17w/4d bc of malpractice & a subchorionic hematoma. With MFM & OB visits every 3 wks & hospital admission at 23w/4d I made it to 25wk/1d when my placenta abrupted. Not a happy ending for me.

Half of mine broke at delivery, half broke before. One baby’s water broke in Bass Pro (I was walking trying to get my prodromal labor to kick over to the real thing!)

I’m 37 weeks pregnant, and when I was bouncing on my ball today I felt a very distinct *POP* in my vagina. Not my hips or back or belly. I don’t think I’ve been having any leaking, but I’m having super watery clear/white discharge. The “pop” was about 6 hours ago. I dont know what could be going on

Water broke. Feels like a half inflated water balloon inside you when it pops. It's not always a gusher haha.

How extreme of a diaper should we wear around term just in case it breaks? How much water is it? Also,that way it's easier for us to see what color it is

When the fluid is not clear, it's very obvious. Most women will notice when green, bloody or brown will leak from their bottoms.... Normal panties are okay until it breaks.

Some women have slow leaks others have gushers. You will be able to tell.
