Whitley, there was so much there. This video captures but a snapshot of what we saw. Wait until you see the next one on Machu Picchu! ~ Eric

Thanks so much. I wish we could have shown the interior of the Cathedral. It was really something else. But hopefully you got a good taste of Cusco through this video and if you have any questions, as always, just let us know! ~ Eric

I went on a Brien Foerster tour years ago it changed everything for me. Whatever you see in granite or basalt with no seams predates all to whom they give credit to.

Having been there myself as well, I'm convinced that the Inca built these structures. I personally don't buy into alien or advanced civilization theories, but I think it is fascinating the multiple theories that are out there. ~ Eric

I'm very envious of Caspian's ability with Spanish. I've tried for years to be able to roll my r's like that and failed.

Haha! It was so difficult for me to say. Brittany and Caspian got it on the first try. It just wouldn't compute in my brain and transfer to my tongue. ~ Eric

Wait, I have a lot of questions... Ok, two questions: 1) What is that animal roasted on a stick? (at 13:40) 2) What were those tunnels in Saqsaywaman used for?

    1. The animals are guinea pigs, called here by the name cuy. They are a staple of their diet and street food here. 2. The tunnels were used by the Incans to traverse their construction areas, they were also used from our understanding extensively all throughout the mountains, and there are many legends regarding them. Our guide claims that two students decided to investigate the tunnels, one died on the journey, and the other made it all way to the cathedral in Cusco through the tunnels where he knocked on a door and it was opened by a church official. He was nearly dead when it they opened it for him. Not sure on the veracity of the story, but that is how it goes. ~ Eric
