9 outta 10 riders can't afford the maintenance on a 4 stroke race bike. Just a gasket set alone for a 4 stroke cost more then a piston and rings and gaskets for a 2 stroke, something to think about, 40 years of riding mx bikes. I've had them all , its 2 strokes or quit riding dirtbikes for me

Another fantastic video dude. Solid information and knowledge with the riding skills to back it up.
You’re video was so good at describing each bikes strong suits and flaws it’s making it even harder for me to choose, all and all best video I’ve seen on this subject by far. Thank you
Fast, informative and to the point. Solid.
Wow, I'm glad I watched! You are an excellent rider, and very nice review!
After being away from the sport for several decades I went with the 2023 125x and I'm loving it!! This was one of the videos that helped me decide between the many options out there, cheers!
I appreciate the info and great video quality/style!
Great video mate. The camera work, your skills as a rider and no hyped up dribble. Very well executed. Cheers from 🇦🇺
Amazing shots🔥that creek shot on the 250 was golden
Great video! Answered all my questions!

Awesome info and bikes brotha! Love my Yamaha, Be safe out there! Cheers 🥂
Wow the riding in your clips is a cut above what I was expecting! Nice balance.
Thanks good video and the footy at the end is the icing on the cake.
I'm so happy I found this video clearly the 250 is for me because I'm a heavy person and I like low end torque so I'm happy you showed me the way

You’re an amazing rider. Thanks for the informative video
Thank you for this video. You have just confirmed what I was already thinking. I have been riding my CR500 and my RM250 in the sand for years not and want to develop the type of riding skills you show here. So I've been thinking about getting a YZ125 and this video has helped confirm this for me.
Bro! You look like a pro out there. So dope🤙🏼
Great video! I’m on a TE300 right now. I plan on getting the 125x soon. I’ve ridden 125’s most of my 20 years of dirt bike riding and agree with everything you said.
I was one of those who asked haha and I really appreciate you getting back to me with good input. I got the 125x in November and I love it! Even my 250 buddies have been really impressed with my 125x, one even is considering getting rid of his rm250 for a 125x because he says mine is more fun to ride.

@@JohnMatrixOfficial my main bike is a 250F. I enjoy it way more than my 450F. I AM very seriously considering going to a 125 from my 250F. The only real reason I have a 450F is for Ice Racing, and for that, HP is king, I cant use the 125 there.. Couple years ago I was at our MX track an a fella showed up to race with a YZ125. He kicked every ones ass. Sounded so cool while he was on it too.. I went from a 250 2T down to the 250F and my riding immediately improved. I felt like I was riding the bike, not vice versa... The 125 is the same idea..
First time viewer, Great riding. ENjoyed the content
I think I’ll get a Lectron for my Husky 150. I love the bike for all the reasons you mentioned, especially forcing me to really learn the clutch in technical riding (aka McNutt). I’ve been at it for 2 years now and my skills have progressed immensely thanks to this bike. I’ve ridden both 250 and 300 and although I think they’re fine bikes, picking them up isn’t much fun. Amazingly well done video. I appreciate your hard work.

I completely agree with everything you said. I'm a small bore 2T rider as well. And for the same reason, my riding style was getting lazy.
Great video. Would love to hear how the 125 improved with the high compression head, rad valve and carb upgrades vs stock!
I like this video it is short and sweet and to the point
Congrats on 50k!

I'm in the yz250x camp...because my cornering speed and momentum need all the help they can get. A 125 requires that hand/eye timing that left me maaaany years ago, ha!

it's helpful, thanks for video
Great video
I'll be honest, I was scrolling through youtube and saw the thumbnail and thought this would be another casual rider reviewing two bikes. Then I saw the name. BeRad. Why does that sound so familiar? After awhile it finally came to me. I remember watching a Megs Braap video years ago with you in it. If I recall correctly you were ripping in that one. Now I've finished this video and have gone from thinking this will be lame to realizing that my riding skills are horrible lol Very knowledgeable and impressive review. New sub.
Thanks man, I’m finally back into riding and restoring my old 2 strokes. Ive been between the cr125 I have or the cr250. I think the 250 is getting done first because I’m a little over 200lbs and love 250s. I do want the 125 for the throwing around type riding and dial in my riding. The 125 will have to wait I suppose. Thank you
You nailed it man. I have a 250FX but would almost go out and grab either one of these bikes. If I had the $$$ I’d get both. 👊🏽✊🏽
Great video, I love my CRF450l because it can go anywhere, literally, but I want a 250x someday
So I recently got rid of my rt100 which over time became way too small for me, and I was wondering what I should get next. I knew I wanted to stay with a 2 stroke and I also knew I would like to stay with a Yamaha. I had mostly narrowed it down to the yz125 and yz250, and this video helped me make my mind about what I most likely will want to get. I think the 250 would suite my needs perfectly as a good trail bike that I can have fun and learn on.
I agree you really got to ring that 125 out and most of the time keep the RPMs high.
good video thanks

very good video. i can't really use a 125 any more the last time i had a 125 i had to keep rebuilding the engine.
I have an rm125 and an rmz450. I weigh 220lbs and can say that 125s have plenty of power. I can send the 125 almost as far as the 450. you just have to keep it revved up and try to carry speed through turns. both fun bikes. an awesome combination to have at the track
dang what a good vid
Best comparison ever
Just subbed. You're an awesome rider dude. I just bought a 2019 yz250x. I put one hr on it. It's amazing. Definitely the best bike I've had to date. I can only hope to progress to be a tenth as good as you are on it! Are you the same Be Rad from megsbraaps channel back in the day?
Well, I just saw your van tour video and thought, "I bet this guy will be a casual rider, just strolling through the woods. Nothing major." Then I saw this video and it makes me feel like a newbie. I'm very impressed. I wish I had half...no, quarter.....heck, even an 1/8 of your skill. I appreciate this video. I'm 23 and was in a motorcycle wreck in May 2018. Fractured my pelvis in 3 spots and have 3 rods in me and a fractured vertibrae. I started training to get prepped for Harescramble races and to get my strength and flexibility back. I don't have a bike atm, but I will be saving up to get this 125X. I look forward to watching more of your videos. 😎👍

I have a 2021 250x, it's the first bike I ever owned. and all I do is trial ride, tight and twisties and a lot of track bed, I threw a bigger sprocket on the front and I can blow just about anything I want right away on a stretch, and it still has tons and tons of power for low and slower riding. I put a headlight on it and stuff, I can't recommend this bike enough. And when it comes to rebuilding, I ride a lot in the summer I rebuild it every 2 seasons, here in northern Maine the season is shorter than other states but I'd say I put on 3000 miles a summer. I have stock jetting and basically the whole bike is stock. I also ride it pretty hard, I'm on like my 7th rear tire? And I've done chain and sprockets. That's my 2 cents.
I ride my daughters RM100 frequently in trails. It’s a rocket and a ton of fun. Like a mountain bike in the woods. Don’t always need the biggest bike to be fun.
