The massacre was perpetrated in an offensive attack by Hamas on October 7th. You may think that Israel's justified defensive actions in Gaza are beyond justification. But you are either deceived or deceiving by calling it a massacre. Hamas deliberately provoked Israel into a counter attack by committing atrocities--beheading babies, violently raping women, burning people in their homes. And they, by all accounts, hide within and below schools, hospitals, mosques, always among Gazan civilians. They want Israel to kill civilians so they can use it for the propaganda that you are joining.

There is no genocide--only what Hamas attempts against Israel by firing thousands of rockets at civilians, invading, murdering, beheading babies, raping women. The UN partitioned Palestine into a Jewish and Arab territory in 1947. Israel formed a nation, the Palestinians didn't. Israel was attacked by 5 Arab states--but won. East Jerusalem and the West Bank were taken over by Jordan, and Gaza remained under Egyptian governance. When Israel was forced to fight the Arab nations again in 1967, Israel won the West Bank, the Golan Heights from Syrian, Gaza and the Sinai Peninsula from Egypt. In 1978 Israel returned the Sinai to Egypt as part of a peace agreement, which still holds. In 2005 Israel pulled out of Gaza, leaving it under Palestinian control. Elections brought Hamas to power in Gaza. The Palestinian Authority governs the West Bank, while Israeli settlements there are under Israeli governance. The Palestinians could have had a state in 2000, but they would not accept it. Israel is not apartheid--the 20% the State of Israel that is Arab have rights, freedoms, all the benefits that Arabs elsewhere do NOT enjoy.

Can someone please explain to me how Palestine will be "free"? Will it have a free government? Freedom of the press? Freedom of speech? Freedom of religion? Equal rights for women? Just a few years ago, Gaza decreed that unmarried women could not travel without the permission of a male guardian. LGBTQ rights? Homosexuality is a crime punishable by death throughout the Islamic world. You're dreaming if you think this would be any different in Palestine. Meanwhile in Israel, gay and lesbian Palestinians fleeing persecution in Gaza have been granted asylum.The only place ANYWHERE in the Middle East where these freedoms exist is Israel.

As a complete outsider, I do find it hard to pinpoint a solid straightforward news source on Gaza/Israel (non social media). Many news outlets are more focused on covering protests occurring in the US.

This professor has conscious alive. That gives hope that humanity did not die yet.

Westen colonialism at its finest! They are trying their best to do their like the British did in Tasmania! If you know history, you know, the British showed up on the island now called Tasmania during Western colonialism the last few hundred years. There are no more Tasmanians left on the planet.
