Many adults have been helping the students.They bring food, water, blankets and tents.They show up to bear witness, and to form a human barricade against police aggression. Some are parents, many are not. There was a video about one father in California who went on campus to support his daughter. A wonderful man. And he's not alone.

There were definitely some adults protesting Vietnam. Even some of the Vietnam vets became protesters later. Kent State happened on a college campus so was mainly students protesting....but you also gotta remember there was also no Internet or cellphone cameras or social media back then so people got all their news from MSM, which just like now is subsidized by military-industrial complex. So all the real sh*t was not being shown. Just what defense contractors and war hawks in the gov't who owned a lot of shares of stock in defense industry corporations allowed to be shown. Two students were cleaning blackboard chalk erasers by slapping them together next to an open 2nd floor classroom window, and panicking State and local police below thought the chalk dust was sniper fire, so they said later.

Even the Vietnamese soldiers who had American soldiers as prisoners showed the prisoners videos of what's happening in America. Of the wounded students only 2 are actually paralyzed from the waist down, paraplegic. A girl who cried screaming on one knee with her arms stretched out, isn't old enough to attend college. I was almost 4 years old in 1970.

Back then America look like it was actually falling apart as a great and powerful nation in the world. In the 1960s and the 1970s was actually sheer chaos, gloomy, and they actually trying to make us forget about what happened back then.

I was 19 then...a Canadian. Attended many anti war gatherings up here. Living in southern Ontario met many new friends Americans coming here that could not stomach the very notion of murdering other human beings because some balding fat old rich guy told them it was their duty.

Barely any Americans know about Kent State, but all Americans know about Tiananmen Square. Shouldn't Americans know more about stuff that happens inside their own country?
