Dororo is an amazing short anime! Very underrated and not talked about enough.

This is the Dororo opening, but Queen Bee also does one of the Chainsaw Man endings, "Violence." Avu-chan has some wild pipes, and they've written and collaborated in "Ladybug" with LiSA. (I believe their pronouns are they/them and she/her.)

Hope you have your chat moderated in a better way nowadays, Nick.

He really liked the song, but not the instrumental drop that happened. Then him not liking that part somehow got people saying that he didn't like the song, so he listened to it again but on stream, with his opinion being the same. And even after that people were still saying he didn't like the song. Also yeah, the chat was pretty bad during this.

@@Syncphonyhe never said he didnt like the whole song just the drop in the instrumental which even tho i like it it makes sense to not like it cos like it really does become a completely different song where here since its just an acoustic guitar the whole way through it doesnt really feel that out of place

the amount of people in chat being ignorant and disrespectful during that video was so sad, honestly. like, if you're not willing to actively go out and educate yourself for whichever reason, at least do what nick does and just let others be without trying to dictate someone ELSE'S identity. it's not as hard as some folks try to make it out to be... that being said, queen bee's singer has a god damn incredible voice! it might not be my type of music, but it certainly deserves all the appreciation

I don't know if it's a situation that deserves praise, considering that Nick saw the awful things they were saying in the chat and simply laughed and "imma gonna need to put a white mark on the chat cause you're saying some crazy shit", he seems interested in learning more and correcting himself, but doensn't do anything about the sewer-grade stuff that people feel free expressing around him.

I kinda hate your chat's reactions, but I'm not a regular viewer and just found this video randomly. However, to respond to your question about what people in Japan think of this, and as someone who lived in Japan for a bit as both an office worker and a teacher and was dating a girl in Tokyo for about 5 years, this is my perspective based on talking to people about Queen Bee. Osaka and most of Kansai seem to love Queen Bee. That region (minus Kyoto) is full of people with diverse backgrounds though, and I believe? Queen Bee is from Osaka. Tokyo and the Kansai region... It depends and I assume this reflects in other parts of Japan as well. Older generations have similar reactions to you. Unsure what to think but genuinely supportive of the music at least, whereas people around 25-30 are split down the middle between hating and loving them for political reasons. Fun fact, Qanon was big in Japan while I was there amongst the military otaku conspiracy theorist crowd. Young people (24 and below) are mostly all in unless you're really young (because LGBTQ+ stuff is relatively avoided in schools. Teachers will work out support for LGBTQ+ students but avoid calling attention to it in front of other children; ie if a trans student is enrolled, they generally allow the student to explore that and can wear female uniforms, but won't allow them to use women's restrooms or make special mention of it to classmates. It does vary depending on the board of education of that region though). Also additional context why I was interested in this topic: I'm a Korean-born American who majored in Anthropology/Archaeology and while I work as an Archaeologist now, I did a lot of biological and cultural anthropology, specifically of Korea and Japan. Topics about identity and culture are of a lot of interest to me, and Queen Bee is a really big example of this in pop culture in Japan.

Okay criticism here for you Nick. I know you didnt like this song, but i had a huge feeling that you didnt listen to the whole thing and assumed the rest was boring, or underwhelming. Please as a reaction content creator you gotta give the music a chance a bit more. A song doesnt always have to be good or make its high vocals the center of attention. Same goes for Attack on Titan's ending, Akuma no Ko, I think you havent heard the rest of it. A song HAS to bring down to build up to its climax. Give these songs more if a chance and hear the whole things before coming to the conclusion. ALSO! The multi notes that singers do is called a "Fleur" I think

Queen Bee is a band, Avu-chan is the name of the vocalist and she uses both femenine and neutral pronouns (so both she/her, or they/them are fine to use when talking about her).

From what I’ve seen the singer was born male (I think?) but through experience they related a lot with experiences common to both males and females, which inspired them to straight up drop gendered pronouns or a defined gender identity, in favor of just living how they feel like it, combining the aspects they like from both males and females. That’s commonly called being nonbinary, identifying as neither male or female, but rather something in between.

Nope. People use basically she/they pronouns. I don't know Japanese that well but I think when it comes to Avu-chan people use feminine pronouns. They might identify as a man as well, I'm not sure.
