I do wish they wouldn't say "heaviest rainfall in 75 years". This gives a miss impression. It's the heaviest rainfall since records began 75 years ago!

@@SupremeST25 No because if it rained like this 75 years ago then it's not that exceptional - it's just something that happens every now and again. If it is exceptional then it maybe be related to climate change but we don't know.

If records began 75 yesrs ago and this is the heaviest rainfall since records began then by definition it's the heaviest rainfall for 75 years. What's your problem?
They built skyscrapers and they do not have sewage and drainage system.

Isn't this seasonal? I remember something similar back in the early 90s.. you would think with all that construction they'd build in some flood control.. or a lake basin to save it all. It isn't a new problem. Floods are harsh to go through. They really mess up buildings fast.

Remember that last time happened, Dubai was a some backwater fishing village. They built their city without cognisance of what 100 year flood line looks like
